    Default 10 in 10 or Less Challenge

    Hello!

    I've been tossing around the idea of starting a challenge for a couple of weeks now, but deciding on what it was going to be took a while. My motivation for this challenge is that I'm SO CLOSE to being under 200 that I want to motivate myself to cross the line. But I didn't want to start another race to 199 challenge - I wanted to include as many people as possible. So I thought, why not do a challenge to lose 10 pounds? So the 10 in 10 or Less Challenge was born!

    The idea is to lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks or less. Simple as that.

    The starting week for this challenge is the week of 8/12/07 - 8/18/07.
    The ending week for this challenge is the week of 10/14/07 - 10/20/07.

    As of today, my starting weight for this challenge is 208.6, so losing 10 pounds will take me to 198.6, under the 200 mark!

    Anyone else up for this challenge? If so, let me know your starting weight and I'll keep track. C'mon - whaddya say?

    hahaha! Can I start with the latest restart? (that would start me at 6 or so already!) no, ok.

    I'm starting today, going with the lowest the scale said this morning after repeated step ons/step offs.

    Thanks Mada, I'm in. Maintenance is tough, and creep happens. If I could lose 10 in 10, I would be ecstatic. I need some competition to get it going. I restarted (again) earlier this week. So, if it is OK, I'll count the 1 that I have already lost.

    I see I've got a couple of wise-gals on my hands. LOL! I'll be watching you!

    So excited some of you wanted to join me! So far it's:

    Anyone else willing to jump on this challenge? There's plenty of room!

    How do we do this?? Do we enter our weight everyday...every week...it takes me awhile to catch on to things..lol

    Lisa - good question. How about every week? I'll try and remember to update everyone's stats on Monday evenings, so if you post your progress before Monday of the next week, I'll get it updated. Sound good?

    Mada, some of us are still shy about posting what we weigh, so for those of us who prefer not to tell the world how fat we really are still, how about if we just post how much we've lost the past week? After all, I know others besides our group peek in here, and even though they don't know us personally (or maybe they do!), I still feel - uncomfortable - posting my weight. Yanno?

    how about if we just post how much we've lost the past week?
    That is TOTALLY fine! I completely understand!! (Heck - my name isn't Mada... that's just my online name. ) I can keep track for everyone either way. (Which is why I originally had Judy's stats at -1). I didn't mean for it to seem like you had to post your weight - so sorry!

    So, either post you're current weight for the week or the # of pounds lost for the week. Works either way!

    OK, I'll post mine Monday morning (which is the middle of Sunday night for y'all), but I'm gonna go ahead and say...I LOST ONE!! Got on the scale this morning and it said 170.5!!

    Wait...I thought of something else...so the final weigh in will be 10/20 ...right? Because I know for myself...I can lose 10 but I can also gain 10..im a bouncer!....so 10 lbs to lose and it has to stick...right...on final weigh in day?
