Yes, Rob, it does! Since we decided as a group to change to total exercise minutes instead of days + minutes, I thought we needed to change to points breakdown. I just fixed it on the stats, too. Great job on the exercise - especially since you were sick!

Rob & Lisa - Thanks! Great job too!
-
Mada - I'm so excited about my weight loss whoosh this week. I'm back down to where I was before my DH came back from his business trip. We felt like we had to celebrate him being back home by eating I guess. // I just want to make sure that those exercise points can only equal 150 for the whole week right?
-
Up to Date Total:
Exercise = 35 points

Water = 40 points
Not eating = 35 points
Pounds lost = 120 points
-
Today's total:
Exercise - 70 minutes on the treadmill *10 points
Water - All 8 cups *5 points
Not eating - *5 points
Pounds lost - 3 pound whoosh *30 points

ok. I haven't been behaving at all.
Im down 5 lbs, but don't feel like I have worked for it - it was just a boomerang from some really, really bad days.

so, I was watching oprah yesterday (yeah , watching the osmonds today and just crying my little heart out )
but I have really not been caring for myself lately - part of that is working from home and just not having to care about how I look. Mostly just extremely casual, comfortable clothes - and somehow most of my shirts are now H-D tshirts.

making a change. they had some fashion specialists, and one thing that one of them said that hit me - at my age, I should be able to get nice things. I'm tired of feeling like I have to buy cheap clothes cause no one sees me anyhow.

I had been jealously looking at the Coldwater Creek catalog, and there are so many things I want. and , darn it, I CAN afford it. plus we just received some of my inheritance - and my mom was always into nice new clothes.
Not going to say what I spent - although it really isn't that bad considering. I am getting about 9 new outfits for the winter season and I really just need to start caring about myself again.

So, I'm hanging in this challenge, but just don't feel like I participated like I should have last week.

And, when I lose enough weight to need new clothes, darnit, I'm going to get what I want. I'm 52, I have my own business, and I deserve it.
its a new week and I will do better.

Going to take ds to a birthday party, where I won't indulge if there are any sweet things so I'll go ahead and log in my day since I'll probably go to bed when I get home.
-
I can be slow sometimes but I'm not sure how to count my exercise time Mada. Do we go from Thursday to Thursday and only up to 150 minutes for 35 points? I can be a pain sometime so I won't tally in the 100 minutes I did for today in my total until I get this figured out.

MaryKay: So glad you're staying in the challenge! You may not feel as if you participated, but you didn't drop out, right? So I'm counting those 5 pounds you lost as points for the week... you can give me the rest of the points if you know 'em and I'll add them in too.

Good for you on the new clothes! I know it'll make you feel MUCH better. Also... there maybe you have SAD? (Seasonal Affected(ive??) Disorder). It's caused by not getting enough sunlight. Makes you depressed. I know I get it in the winter. There is a lightbulb that you can buy now to help with that. Maybe you should try one of those too?

Lisa: It's really hard - I understand! I've had 2 nights where I really had a battle raging in my head about that. Luckily I won and am down 3 pounds this week, but who knows when I won't win? Hang in there! Hopefully you can get past this and drop some pounds as a reward for doing it!

Heather: OK... sorry I didn't answer your question sooner. Took the boys to Helena to the new Exploration Works museum and the carousel at the Great Northern Town Center today (no school today). Have you ever been? Fun stuff!

Anyway, you're question:
You count your points (minutes) from Thurs through Wed and start over again on Thurs. (Did I email you a chart? That helps tons for keeping track... if I didn't, PM me your email so I can send it to you as an attachment.)
Use this breakdown to track your points for the week:
150 minutes or more = 35 points
100 - 149 minutes = 20 points
60 - 99 minutes = 10 points
30 - 59 minutes = 5 points
0 - 29 minutes = 0 points
Since we decided to change it from days to total minutes, we had to change how we tracked our points. So, log your minutes each day, and once you get to 150, you've reached the max amount of points you can earn for the week. HOWEVER, if you want to exercise more than 150 minutes a week, by all means, do so, BUT you cannot earn extra credit points for going over 150 minutes... that being said, you may earn extra points in the form of pounds lost if you exercise more than 150 minutes a week.
OK, is that clear as mud now? Let me know if it still doesn't make sense and I'll try and explain it again.

As for my day... I'm short 4 glasses of water yet today, so I'd better get on it. I don't drink a lot when I'm driving around or away from home for a long time because I hate having to use public restrooms. Not a phobia, just an ick factor. I did make it to the Y today and got 30 minutes in. Will go again tomorrow. Funny story - dropped the kids in the playroom, turned around to head to the exercise area and there were all the Daredevil basketball players(our local CBA team) going to workout too. I haven't felt that short in a LONG time LOL!

Wow, Lisa that was awesome very encouraging. Great to read that with the year I have had. But moving on is awesome, being positive inspite of. I hold on to the belief that life happens, so find the silver lining and hang onto it for dear life, this will help you through a lot.
