I'm going to start over, even though I was past the 1/4 mark.

Had a big blowout Saturday, had a Super Mexican Dinner, (a new restaurant, a small family chain we are familiar with, and they make outstanding TexMex) complete with beans & rice, chips & salsa, 2 enchiladas and a tamale, and a crispy taco, plus they gave us a free margarita. So, my 100 day challenge bit the dust. However, I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite!

So, Sunday was day 1, today is day 2.

This is the first time I've completely blown a challenge. I hang my head in shame.

Are you sure you want to start over Nita? I'm just beginning day 19 again because I had an off day yesterday. Those previous days weren't for nothing sweetie! But if this is what you need then do what is good for you.

Katkins, welcome! The more the merrier!

Heather, I posted before, but perhaps I forgot to hit the right button!

I really think I need to start over, since I am sort of the "captain" of this challenge. Thank you for offering me the option to just pause. It's quite tempting.....

Starting day 3. Yesterday was good. Lunch was leftover salad with lots of brisket, chopped & browned in a skillet, and ranch dressing. Supper was pork roast and fresh zucchini & yellow squash and onions from our garden, sliced and browned in a bit of butter.

I think we'll do leftover pork roast for lunch, perhaps a salad, or some steamed veggies.

Day 4, doing ok.

Last night I needed a snack (yes, NEEDED), so I took 3 Scandinavian bran crisps crumbled in a bowl with a couple of tablespoons of sunflower and pumpkin seeds, a little bit of unsweetened coconut, a squirt of FiberFit and ate it with Calorie Countdown milk. My version of granola without all the carbs & sugar. I loved it! Lots of fiber, few carbs, good eating. Next time I might put a few blueberries in it. Guess I need to figure the actual numbers in Fitday, so I'll know exactly what I'm eating.

Starting day 5. I reevaluated the bran crisp "granola", it has about 7 net carbs. Not bad for maintaining, but just a tad high for OWL. However, I have lost a bit, but I'm sure it was all water from the brisket we finished.

I know I'm going to get tons of exercise this weekend. We have to start moving stuff from the house to the workshop, like all our hundreds of books, and knickknacks, and all that stuff, so I plan to get in a lot of heavy weight lifting!

You are doing so well Nita. Seems like you just keep tweaking this and that along the way to continue progressing.

Day 6. Heather, I'm so glad you're keeping my company!

Last night we bought some Carb Smart ice cream, had a bit with some strawberries & blueberries. It was excellent. But I have to really watch not to overdo on this stuff.

Weight was up - again. I can fluctuate 5 lbs from one day to the next. I wish I would fluctuate downward more.

Yesterday one of our maintenance men took off for Juneteenth, a Texas holiday that African Americans take. June 19th was the day they heard about the Emancipation Proclamation. Anyway, he did barbeque, and brought us each a plate. I gave mine to someone else to take to her husband. It smelled good, but had beans, rice and a tortilla on the plate. I figured that if I had to throw away half of the food, I might as well give away the entire plate. And I suspect some of the meat had bbq sauce on it, and the smoked sausage most likely was made with sugar. I think I made a wise decision, as much as I would have liked to eat the entire plateful.

Day 8. Doing ok. Got lots of exercise hauling stuff out of the house and into the workshop, so the floors can be installed. Whew!

Had an OMM, chocolate, for breakfast. Cheese crisps and tortillas and cucumbers for lunch. Yeah, a pretty crummy lunch, but that's what I wanted. Supper - smoked sausage & more tortillas to wrap them in, and tomatoes. I'm not doing a lot of cooking the next week, due to all the upheaval I expect to happen.

I don't think I did well enough to count much of the weekend so I'll just begin day 23 today. Going to make it count!
