OK..today is day 18 for me. I went downstairs to make LC pancakes yesterday and the phone rang. It was my mom, then my sister wanted to talk...running out of time. Then when I finally got off the phone I was out of eggs! Oh well...I had some leftover roast beef and went to work. I stopped on the way home and got some eggs and had pancakes for dinner. I was feeling pretty rotten with this cold so I put my jammies on and ate my pancakes in bed! Ahhh...low carb comfort food!

Carolyn..great job resisting the food at work! I am so glad that I work with 2 men. I make them keep their treats in their own work areas!

JR...you too did great resisting the sweets! I'm with you on the low carb weekend...but I'm keeping my fats!

Lisa...Your dinner sounds great! I love cauliflower with cheese. I need to roast some chicken. I love roasted chicken and I have decided that the ones from the grocery store just have too much stuff injected into them...although I love the taste! Isn't it irritating how quickly men lose weight!?

Hiya Heather ....Have a good weekend

I've lost count of my days! And where's a calendar when you need one?

No matter, I'm still on plan, have lost a few ounces since yesterday, and I'm feeling pretty good. Last night we ate the last of the cheesecake, and I'm going to cut back on stuff like that for a time. It might be why I've been yoyoing within that stupid little pound.

Day 13. I had 2 parties to go to yesterday 1 at lunchtime and the other last night. I am happy to report that the worst I did was to eat an EAS low carb bar while everyone was having their sweets. I even had to bake... and still didn't cheat!
I was actually down a lb this morning. = )

I have lost track also Nita...but still going strong...didn't pan for supper last night...Hubby and I went for a ride and snacked on Porkskins...then came home and ate SF Jello with whipped cream...what a supper!

Today...Seafood after church...not sure what my choices will be...I'll try and be good!

Once in awhile we experience a hiccup, but as long as we stick to our plan long-term, then we'll be ok.

I'm on day 16 (yeah, I finally figured out where I am in the stream of time!), did not weigh this morning, but measured, and have some small reductions in a few places, not whopping big changes, but changes, nonetheless.

I made my usual pancakes for breakfast, I'm getting hooked on them! And I browned some leftover salmon in butter, and a few brussels sprouts for lunch, coffee, etc.

Keep it up, ladies. We can get to the end of this challenge, and then get ready to jump into another one!

Had my own hiccup yesterday Vickie. A couple of gals were asking how long I had to get to my rebate and how much I had to lose. I let them know it would be about 2 months and I would need to lose about 15 pounds until them. I told them if I push myself to stay on track and exercise I could do it but they kept saying I couldn't. Wouldn't you know I let all that negativity get to me and came home, barely moved after being active that morning and ate junk from the grocery store we had been to after church. Today? I'm ready to jump back in the ring and do my best! I want to do this out of spite now and wouldn't it be grand if I lost an extra pound? lol

Day 17 dawning cold & gray, did not weigh this morning. I'm going to back off the daily weighing, and do so only once a week for awhile.

Yesterday's food wasn't the best, but could have been worse. I found a recipe for coconut cookies, we ate the last of them. I need to not bake - I eat too much of it, even if it's low carb.

I started my Monday morning with a protein shake, double scoop of powder, almond milk, and an egg, and a tiny dash of cream. Lots of protein to keep me going.

I hope the rest of you have a good low carb week!

Hello and Happy Monday!
Day 14....

I didn't get to post yesterday - but had a wonderful day sticking to my goals!
Used weights at the gym for 40 minutes...and stayed low carb and low fat and no sugar for the entire weekend! oh yeah!!!!

And....my weigh in showed i'm down 7 pounds in 14 days. Also lost several inches all over. I'm especially excited about the 1 inch lost for each upper thigh! yeah!!!!!!

Hiccups? Oh yeah - sometimes we just can't resist. Crazy isn't it?? But that's ok. As long as it's TEMPORARY!!!!

LADIES..... WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Carolyn - I grew up in New York too!!! Where are you from? I lived in Ozone Park - it's just on the border of Queens and Brooklyn. I left in 1978. Lived in South Florida for a while and now I'm in Chicago. (to stay cause I love it here) Actually I don't love the winter but the rest of the seasons make up for that!!

Day 18 dawning gray and foggy and drizzly, but I'm on plan, I'm feeling good.

Last night I made a variation of Susie's hot chicken salad. I didn't have either celery or almonds, but quite a few green onions, and I used canned chicken. It was very good, and I ate a lot of that. This morning, pancakes, again.

Hey everyone, it's good to see that we're all still here, plugging on. Do all of you find it easier to stick to plan when you are accountable to a challenge?

today is day 9, no sugar, and down 10 lbs.... I knew I would drop a lot this week, no sugar, eating lots of veggies, and almost no beef, just chicken and fish...so...over the weekend I only ate when I was hungry, saturday it was dinner (and a small snack for lunch) monday I ate breakfast and dinner... so while I didn't eat a lot I was trying to eat when I was really hungry and not eat cause it was time to eat...

hope everyone else is doing well this morning

Yes Challenges do help me stay on track better, however, when I really put my mind to doing something, and really get prepared, (with food pre=preps, etc.) then it is easy for me to keep on track....

going out to lunch today, and I really have to make sure I have salad as this place we are going is famous for their patty melts....
