Default 100 Day Challenge

I'm going to start a 100 day challenge beginning Sunday, January 6, 2008, and going through April 14.

This challenge for me is to stay on plan for the entire 100 days, no deviations for any reason. My plan will be the original 1972 Atkins plan.

If anyone else wants to have a 100 day challenge, for whatever they want it to be for them (perhaps you want to make it a goal of drinking 8 glasses of water every day, or not putting cream or half n half in your coffee, or whatever), then all are welcome to join me.

It's been a long time since we had a 100 day challenge - it's about time we got back to one!

BTW, feel free to jump in here anytime to start your 100 days. This will be your place to keep track of your own personal challenge.

I'm going to have my healthy dinner I planned on my fitday account today and then no more eating for the rest of the day. I'm hoping that the scale will have moved down just a bit more or hey, a lot tomorrow.

Today, January 3, marks day 3 on plan for me.

Great! We've got a nice group of dedicated people here, ready to get started.

I might get an earlier start, maybe, but right now I'm psyched up for a Sunday start. But, tomorrow might be a good day to start, too.

I'm not away from low carb, haven't been, I just have been eating too much of low carb stuff that adds up the carbs. That's why I'm going back to my basics.

Nita...I can sooo relate to getting psyched to start on a certain day. I think some of us just function better that way. Sunday is a great day to start...especially because you aren't really "off-plan" so much....just doing a more relaxed low carb. That's going to make it easier on you to go back to a more intense low carb plan.

Wow, Lisa, you are doing good!

I'm going to have to start early; I could not get my jeans fastened this morning. So, I guess today is my day. Just had a protein shake for breakfast, and scrambled eggs with a bit of cheese and 2 sausage patties for lunch. And the usual coffee and cream. So, today is day 1. I will weigh tomorrow for sure. And measure, too.

Day 3 for me. I am doing good. I just put a tray of revolution rolls in the oven.
This morning for breakfast/lunch I had some left-over roast beef and 2 fried eggs sprinkled with cheddar cheese.

I started a day early, so I'm at the end of day 1.

I got busy this morning, so I didn't eat until 11, had a couple of leftover sausage patties and a can of tuna. Sounds weird, I know, but it's what I wanted.

Supper was brisket and some sliced cucumbers and radishes. Several (many) cups of coffee and 2 cups of tea.

The scales this morning didn't show that I've gained any more, but since my jeans wouldn't button yesterday, I guess I've just shifted. I'm actually down about a lb from the last time I weighed a couple of weeks ago.

Great going, ladies!

What a great bunch we have!! Everyone is working so hard and soon we'll be posting a ton of positive results!

Today is day 5 for me on plan and it was a tough one. Have given up coffee due to nurse recommendations due to irregular heart beat so have switched to tea to see if that helps. If it doesn't at least I'm weening myself down to not get a horrible headache. Anyway, it was a struggle for me to stay on plan because I tend to comfort eat. It's worth it!! Like it's said, "nothing tastes as good as thin feels."
