| Nita, you and Goddess (who posted to my journal) about made me cry. again! Just knowing you are there caring makes a difference. I'm going to have a long talk with my husband tonight about things I need to do, things I need from him, what I need him NOT to do (read: chips everywhere all the time!!!!-chips are the !!!) etc. How many times can one fall off this wagon?:?!?!?

| I think the only way you can guarantee not falling off the wagon is to have all sides of the wagon secured, and yourself strapped in snugly. Which means having support all around you, and all the tools you need (a copy of your plan, well-read and underlined, the right food in the pantry & fridge, etc). It doesn't guarantee that you'll never fall off, but it helps to keep you in place. And you have to find support wherever you can. Coming here is a great way to stay firmly attached to that wagon!

| Hey everyone...I'm still doing horribly. I tried on some of last year's summer clothes last night. Good news: I can still wear them. Bad news: BARELY! I have 3 wks before our moms visit and then we go to Spain. I'm just going to try to maintain until April 5. Then I'm starting back full force. If I try now, I'll be frustrated.

| That is good news that you are maintaining. Don't be to hard on yourself because it sounds like life needs to settle a bit for you and then you can start again. Maintaining during these moments are perfect so keep up the great work! |

| Change of plans...I'm starting Monday. Just to at least get a start before the visit/vacation. Then I'll try to be half decent during those times and back on when we return.

| "How many times can one fall off this wagon?:?!?" I recently read in a magazine of a woman that had lost quite a bit of weight... can't remember how she did it ( want to say it was weight watchers) anyway, she said it doesn't matter how many times you have to fall off the wagon, it matters that you get back in it instead of falling off and not getting back in.... so ... with that said, if it takes 10 times to get it right, then that's what it takes.... People that are addicted to drugs and alchol are also told that if it takes that many times to stop and work the program, then so be it, but keep trying, don't give up, one day it will be there in head, spirit, body, etc. al. that you need to keep on track. While I am more committed this time around, I still see myself eating something I shouldn't... wanting that "food reward" instead of the "pat on the back" reward.... so I keep making sure I have the right food to eat, make the right choices at restaurants... and keep most of those foods I shouldn't eat out of the house, (or out of my view point)... take care Heather... you will succeed, just keep trying, and trying... I am there with you.... ![]() ![]() you can do it.carolyn

| Thanks, Carolyn! I think we've been doing this together since about 2003?! But that's okay. We're getting there! I decided to start back Sunday. I'm 1.5 days in! I'm going to see where I can get in 17 days and then try as best I can without ruining the vacations and then get right back on serious. I told DH what I was doing. For the most part I think he would rather I just get over it already and eat like a regular person. He just said, "okay." I said, "is that all you are going to say?" he said, "how can I help?" I love him!

| Just popping in to see how it's going. And to let you know I'm here for you if you need someone to listen. It's a big help when your dh helps you. Mine has been a rock for me the last few years, seldom eating off plan when we're at a restaurant (and I really don't mind when he does, because at home we are always 100% on plan). It really does make a difference having that support.
