| Sounds like everyone is really gung-ho here! Day 3. Last night we had roasted brussels sprouts and chicken. Enjoyed every bite. Still not losing, but not gaining, either. (I tend to have extra long stalls, not to worry, eventually I'll start losing again.) |

| Yep, Mick, I get my exercise all in at 5:00 a.m. In the evenings if it is nice, I walk briskly with the neighbor twice a week! I only weigh once a week! Monica |

I am soooo excited to see everyone that joined my thread here!!!I am on day 3 of Induction and I am doing quite well. Not winning any gourmet cooking contests...(my poor fiance!)but I am trucking through. I was at 237.8 On Monday the 10th! By the 11th on my birthday I was at 236. I have TOM coming soon, so I will delay any other weigh in's for atleast a week! I pulled out my three low carb cooking books and came up with some good ideas to get through the "boring blahs" stage. * I will note that re-reading my first Atkins' book (this is what I call the bible because it was a released book that I have never seen again!) It is the first book that I read and I love it. I guess that I hold it so true because it was the book that I first lost all of "my" weight with. ANYWHO... ![]() It appears that in the past I have NOT been measuring my cups of salad that I have been eating. And one would assume that would be why I didn't lose as quickly as I would've like to have. I am now measuring 2 cups of salad with tons of grn veggies in it. I was eating something like 4-6 easily! So I am down to eating only my 2 cups in which I savour. We all know how strict Induction can be..or should be in this instance. SO hang in there everyone and remember we are one day closer to our "cute" spring clothes, and one day closer to goal. Today day is your day, make the best of it. Take Care of you!!!!

| I can honestly say, anytime I have ever done Low Carb, I have not done just 2 cups of salad for my veggies for the day! I don't know how you guys do it! Keep up the good work! Monica |

| This weekend will be a challenge. I am heading to a spa resort type area with 2 friends. WE have a massage, facial and pedicure planned. We will be eating out most meals so I will be tempted. I feel good though so I think staying on plan will be fine! Monica |

| Mick & Rethmanm, Awesome to read! Same here...I am trucking through...I was going a little nutty last night...I was actually hungry and tried baking peperoni (seen a receip in a lc cookbook) in the oven and after the smoke detectors were going off......they were done! and yuck! They were too salty!! Ugh... All that and nothing...so I had a little piece of cucumber and that seemed to settle my "nuttiness". Like I posted before without the extra salad that I found out I shouldn't of been eating as much of....I am at a lose of like...what else is there. I want to keep it real and not have anything that doesn't fit on Induction, but I still want to live... 3.8 pounds down this morning...... (today is day 5)Not too shabby.......

| Monica, Your eatting out can be handled...prepare your bag with lc snacks and don't forget your water. Salad and anything grilled is always safe...for the most part....(and remember thin tastes better and Spring and Summer are too close to cheat!!!) You can do this! ![]() Enjoy & keep us updated on your progress over the weekend!

| Hi crew, sorry I haven't checked in, it's been an odd week for me. I was just going over my fitday journal, I don't think I'm eating enough carbs. Though I've been 'spot-on' I haven't really been eating much - and the lack of action on the scale this week proves it. Yesterday I was out to lunch with my best friend and only ate HALF a cobb salad - and that's all I ate yesterday . . . now go figure, this AM I was up almost 2 pounds (I know, get off the scale and it's the salt from the cheese and bacon). I picked up some strawberries, so I'll be adding those in to bump up my carb intake (I averaged 6 carbs daily this last week - yea, I know, not good!) Well tomorrow we head out to the Happiest Place on Earth - so lots of walking and I'm using it as my jumping off place for daily walking (either on the treadmill or outside with the puppy). Here's to it being Friday, may we all have a super weekend and here's a YEA BABY for good scale read outs next week (yes, I'll do just one, k???)
