Mick, I am proud of you! Health is the main goal. IF the health is in check, the weight will be too!

Yesterday was a good LC day! Today will be too! I had a late late meeting, so no exercise this morning. But tonight, DH and I will walk for an hour!

    DAY 22!!

    Mick & Monica,
Thanks so much! After my post in On going weight loss thread,,I am gathering that the pasta is a serious culpret to the situation. I was down weight again this morning. It FOR sure stalled me. Ugh! all that hard work...I could've had some keebler cookies if I knew that I would gain weight eating something that was suppose to be LC. Ugh! Oh well live and learn. I will use the pasta very sparingly and most likely in maintenance more so than anything.

    Mick! 45 days without a scale...ugh! OMG! I couldn't imagine.
Back in the day I never had a scale, now I don't know if I could live without it. Every morning I have been weighing in. I am set up for dissappoint each morning.
However, I used to be in this group with my family and friends and we would weigh in every Saturday morning. It was once a week....I never freaked about the scale each and every day. Now that I have one I guess that I want to know.
Honestly, every morning it seems that I am losing weight. Everyday I wake up and I say ( this all could be pschyological here mind you...) God I feel lighter. This morning I am like....hmm my legs looks a little leaner. My side profile in the mirror has changed as well.....(for the better!!)

I just keep rowing toward shore....

Thanks Monica! A walk with your Dh sounds wonderful! You must be having nice weather also? I hope you have a relaxing day!

PQ~ I decided to go scale free because when I originally lost all my weight I didn't own one. I am a master manipulator. If I'm losing great I can say "oh I can have a tad of xyz" if I'm gaining or stuck for no reason I can say "oh it isn't working anyways so I'll have xyz". I'm not really sure it is exactly 45 days but 2 menstral cycles. I'll weigh after the 2nd cycle ends.
I decided to go back to what worked in the very very begining with the Dr. Not actually counting healthy low gycemic veggie carbs but up with the low glycemic other carbs. I'm also going back to 1 treat a week if I want it as my original plan was. 99% of the time it was a small amount of sf ice cream (or reg).
Perfection and focusing only on weight is stressing me out. I'm a diabetic and need to focus on heath. Like Monica said I think the weight will follow. In all honest with VLC my workouts kill me. Also VLC is not sustainable for life for me personally. LC is just not vlc.

I definitely thing the dreamfields is a your millage may vary thing. Now you know it didn't work for you. That is excellent you see bodily changes!

Mick I completely see things your way! I won't sit here and say that I don't have some carbs now and then. I certainly won't say I will stay on VLC my whole entire life either. To lose weight I drop the level down.

    DAY 24!!!!!!!

Monica! The firm is suppose to transform your body! Keep it going girl, you will thank yourself this summer.
I am down 17 this morningl

I haven't heard from Amy C?? You still out there?

6 more days and we will hit our goal!

I have to admit that last night was challenged somewhat. I wasn't close to cheating, however I was considering a barter with myself.. the c'mon it is just ones.....they were the little tiny (evil) reece cup bite sized treats. My fiance can eat anything that he wants to eat and still weigh 175. Me on the other hand smelling the bag and I am very close to gaining weight. Ugh!
I resisted and thougth.....if you want to be in a bikini this year.....reece cups are NOT the way to go nor the answer......
I packed his lunch and went into the living room and let him know that I might need him on guard the next time. He is like....awe...I am sorry, I will help you at anytime and by the way you might need a belt for your pajama bottoms soon......."

HAVE A GREAT CHEAT FREE WEEKEND EVERYONE!6 more days and we will hit the goal!!!

I just keep rowing toward shore....

My kidneys are hurting...is this due to the low carb? I have NEVER in my life had a kidney infection and my back hurts on both sides...worse on the left. My hubby said that is my kidneys. Any relation do you think? Also I havent lost another ounce. I went from 236 to 218 and just stopped. Advise?

PQ~ way to go!!! Don't lose those PJ bottoms girl!
Amy did you go to the dr? Sounds like infection or small kidney stone. Hope you are better!

Monica~ I have heard excellent things about the firm!

Well I survived 6 boys for the weekend whew!!! They were loud! I'm really feeling lots better on schwartzbein with my meds than on vlc. I don't feel washed out. Nothing exciting on the scale since I'm not checking. Have a great day everyone!

Well, I have had a malfunction weekend! I live in Lawrence KS and from Saturday on, we were all KU Cheerleaders ! lol So Saturday night we headed to the Power and Light district in Kansas City MO and I had a few drinks!

Well KU won Saturday and played in the championship game last night. So things have been a bit off for me!

But KU won! I guess that is how life goes!

Sounds like you had a great time Monica!! Progress not perfection is my motto.
I totally forgot I was dieting and totally forgot about checking in. How odd is that??? I'm thinking that is a good sign. So how are you doing challengers?
