Had breakfast this morning. Wasn't anything innovative or exciting, just the norm.

Susie, great idea. I've been really good for the past few years in eating something in the morning; used to never eat breakfast.

This morning was a plain OMM, but I added a scoop of whey protein powder and a bit more butter, for more protein and to make it less dry (that's what the protein powder does to it.) And a big mug of decaf w/cream.

Welcome to the breakfast challenge, Nita. I need to get back into making OMMs.

I'm getting ready to cook breakfast! Well...I am. To put in the fridge for a quick zap in the micro before running out the door to work early tomorrow morning.

Hey Dix, good to see your smilin' face here. Jump in if you wish. I need to revamp my OMM recipe. It's been awhile for me, too.

Nita, do you normally have a problem fitting breakfast in?

I had one hard egg for breakfast with a small serving of fresh fruit. One thing I'm going to start doing is cooking breakfast ahead so I can zap it in the micro on work days. Time is what derails my breakfast habit when I work.

No, Susie, I can fit breakfast in, it's just that I'm not usually very hungry at 7:30 in the morning, but if I don't eat, I'm ravenous by 10. So, I usually have the OMM, hot cereal, or a protein shake. I can't stomach eggs in the morning - for me they are for lunch or supper.

I like the OMM fresh baked, but sometimes I'll make one the night before, fill it with sweetened cream cheese, and put it in the fridge for breakfast. Makes a good, quick breakfast.

This morning, I stuffed half a LC pita with scrambled egg and a slice of breakfast sausage patty (pre-cooked, nuke to warm up) and had with my coffee at work. Nuke for 40 seconds on the low powered microwave at work.

Felt as if I'd stopped at MacDonald's on the way to work.

I had my sausage and egg breakfast this morning, it hit the spot. Maggs, your pita breakfast sounds like something straight from the menu and Mickey D's or Hardee's. I love pitas, need to order some of those. I think I can get those through the Netrition link here on LCE, right? I cooked breakfast yesterday so all DH & I had to do today was stick it in the micro. Sooo easy this way. I s-l-o-w cook the egg and then heat on low power.

Neti, hope you had more than coffee today. Let us know!

Nita, was it a OMM for you this morning?

An OMM with an extra scoop of whey protein powder in it, and made with coconut oil. A pat of butter on top, and 3 strips of bacon, decaf w/cream.

sistaSue,
Just stopping in to let you know I think I will pass on this challenge.
I ALWAYS do breakfast, so it wouldn't be a challenge to me.

I'll pop in for a visit every now and again, if that's ok?

You guys are ROCKIN' right along! Keep up the good work!

Shell, you're welcome to visit with us when the notion hits ya!

I had my regular egg and bacon breakfast, it works so well to cook it ahead. Sorry, I know you guys are tired of hearing that...well, it does.

Nita, I need to try a OMM soon. Good going with eating your breakfast.
