Nicola, if you enjoy the leftovers, then by all means, eat the same thing! There are things I could eat every day, day in and day out, if I lived alone and didn't have to cook for a husband! Really, he's not terribly picky, except when it comes to tuna - he does not like it at all.

I absolutely do not remember what I fixed for supper last night. I remember frying up yellow squash and zucchini, but I don't remember what protein I put with it. Guess it wasn't memorable, or I'd remember! Breakfast was a whey protein shake made with almond milk, and I added an egg for a protein boost.

This weekend I'll probably help dd1 finish moving, either cleaning up at the old house, or helping her put stuff away at the new house. Whatever she needs the most. That will by my exercise!

QueenMama, what I like about the leftovers is the ease of reheating. But I think I will start cooking a little more and freeze some meals so I can have a little more variety. But you're right sometimes I could just eat the same thing all week long and be OK with it.

I was off work today and to my amazment I slept in. I'm usually up at 3:30 am every morning so that was a surprise. Been on the move all day, I managed to eat breakfast, but no lunch, and no dinner. I said no eating after 6 this month, so I am not going to eat as it is almost 7 now. I am headed to the treadmill though, I need to get some exercise in.

Yesterday was a snack day. Dh was out helping dd1 & her dh move some big appliances, so I had their son, and he was snacking, so I snacked right along with him. Bits & bobs of things. Nothing bad, just not a real meal.

I've decided to quit obsessing about not losing, just stay on low carb, and be happy with my body as it is. Well, somewhat happy, anyway.

Day 11, and still hanging in there. We got our half of beef, still have to go through it and see exactly what I bought! DD2 & her dh picked it up for me when they got theirs, and put mine in my freezer. So far we've had ground beef and a round steak, and both were excellent! Tomorrow we go to pick up our new stove, so I'll have an oven to do a roast. Can't wait!

Wow, it's been awhile since I posted here! Things are going ok, except for last Friday. We went to pick up the stove, I had one banging headache, needed caffeine, so we did an early lunch, and I ordered the catfish plate, complete with potatoes and rolls. So, that day was a total washout; however, I've stuck pretty close to plan since then. Next thing I need to consider is exercise. Yuck. The knee is much improved, surprisingly. It's been acting up since last spring, to the point that I was using a cane nearly every day, especially when I was out and about doing any type of walking, like shopping. The last 2 days there has been nary an outcry from it, and the cane is sitting at home. Weird. I just never know what it's going to do, from one day to the next. Tomorrow it could be crying and screaming at me, but for now, I'm pleased that it's decided to be quiet. With the weather cooling down, maybe dd1 & I can start walking. She just moved and is only about 5 blocks from our house. The only problem is that her neighbor has a pit bull tied up, and that scares me.

Guess I haven't been here in a while either. I haven't been doing to bad except for the exercise. It has just been so hot here. Sept is not a good month here in Florida. But it's going to cool down soon I hope. It hasn't been so humid the past couple of days. I have been sticking to LC but I did spend a couple of weeks eating more than usual. Then on last week I started cuting back again. Looks like that may have worked for me because I managed to lose a couple of lbs.

QueenMama, I hope your knee holds up, it's no fun when our bodies don't want to support us. I have problems with mine also, but luckly I haven't had to use a cane as of yet.

This is weird. I know I posted here yesterday. I'm sure I actually hit the post button. Hmmmm, maybe I'm losing it.

Anyway, I'm doing ok, did go off plan Saturday, eating out, ate the tortillas with the fajitas. Had few carbs the rest of the day, so I'm not overly concerned. The weight is stable, no losses, but no gains, either. So at least there is good news there.

My exercise last night was a WalMart shopping trip. It always exhausts me to do that shopping. Then I had to cook supper. I wanted to pick up a rotisserie chicken, but they didn't have any out. Just a bucket of fried. So I sliced and browned some smoked sausage, added sauerkraut, and sliced some tomatoes. It was a very good supper.

I think this month has been a real challenge. I managing to hold my own. I haven't been exercising enough but I'm doing a little better at it this past week. I've been on the treadmil three times this week, but only for about 20 minutes at a time, I've also been working out on my rock n roll stepper. I like to use that when I watch TV in the evenings. Anything to stay off the couch. I'm still walking on my breaks at work, that really helps especially on days when I am so stuck in my chair all day. I haven't had any sodas this week, Hurray for that! I've been trying really hard to cut back on them. My sweet tooth is under control for now, it's just a constant stuggle but I am doing OK.

Good for you, Nicola!

Since September is almost over, are you up for an October challenge? Since it seems that it's just the 2 of us now, if you are up for it, I'll start it Wednesday. If not, we'll forget it. Just let me know.

I've been pretty much on plan, except for the occasional cheat, like fried catfish Friday night. Ate way too much of it, too. Always do when we have it. I did make my own coleslaw to go with it, though. And my weight is up, too. I'm blaming the catfish!

I really need to knuckle down and commit to being on plan every day for awhile, and get rid of the carb creep. He's such a monster, that carb creep!

Nita, I think that an October challenge is good, so lets do it.

This month has been just OK. Considering all the temptations I've had then I've faired well. I still need to work on the exercise thing though. That's always a constant struggle for me. Hopefully I can get over that hurdle in October once and for all.
