Butterfly November Month Long Challenge

Here it is the 4th of November, and I'm just getting to the challenge!

The 1st and the 2nd were a total bust - I ate the camp food, it was appalling, but filling. I got back on plan yesterday, though, keeping my carbs way down. So far so good.

Got in lots of walking at camp - now if I could just keep it up!

Well you are not alone, the 1st was a total bust for me also, but I did OK on the day 2 and 3. Today I've done well so far. Don't anticipate any problems. I'm going to chill and then go do some exercise while I watch the election results.

Another day, and doing ok.

This morning I had a bit of cottage cheese with some plain yogurt mixed in. Couldn't finish it, either, but it stuck with me all morning.

We had some faux pea soup for lunch, with cheese sticks and cherry tomatoes. Maybe not enough protein, but it was good, anyway. Haven't planned supper yet. Depends on if this headache is still with me.

Today was a good day. Sausage and eggs for breakfast and a LC shake for lunch. Don't know what is for dinner either, but I thinking maybe a salad. Haven't been in the mood for cooking...maybe on the grill though. Anyway tomorrow is Friday which means I got through the week fairly well. I need to try harder this weekend to maintain though, maybe I can make some progress.

I guess today is another good day, didn't have any breakfast, not much of a lunch either. Thought maybe a steak for dinner, but not sure yet. I got off work early today, decided to go shopping, don't have to worry about spending any money because just didn't see anything I wanted to buy (What is wrong with me?) So I came on home and got some exercise in. Anytime I get some exercise makes for a good day, because I surely know how lazy I can be sometimes.

Yesterday was good, so far today is good, too. Didn't have breakfast, but finished off my stash of beef jerky that was on my desk. Lunch was cheese crisps and pepperoni crisps and a few pickles. And I've had lots of coffee today - I'm working on a bottle of water now.

I have a roast in the oven, so supper is taken care of. Just need to fix a veggie, maybe asparagus.

Friday was a bad food day for me. I had a Mcdonalds burger for lunch bleh!! (Was on a field trip with middle son) Then had a candy bar on the bus ride home. Well at least we did a lot of walking for about 2 1/2 hours at an art exhibit.

Today is going much better.

Lucy, one day off is no big deal. I hope you thoroughly enjoyed the art exhibit!

I've been pretty good about staying on plan, although last night I just didn't feel much like cooking, so I took 4 lc pitas and made pizza with them. So with just the pita, that's about 10 net carbs. But it was good. If I'd send dh out for something, he would have brought home fried catfish or chicken. So I guess the homemade sorta lc pizza was better, anyway.

I had some various leftover meats, mostly beef roast, so I cut it in chunks, had a bit of homemade beef stock, and all the fat from the roast, and simmered it in a skillet, then added spices, some California blend, let it all simmer until the veggies were tender, then stirred in about 1/2 cup sour cream. Wow, it was good! We had it for lunch yesterday and today. Nothing like leftovers made over into a great meal.

No plans for tonight's supper. I might have to do a WalMart run (I hate going shopping this time of year, everyone seems so clueless, walking around like zombies), so if I do, I'll get a rotisserie chicken for supper. All I need with that is a veggie - or not! I could just eat the chicken and be happy.

Lucy, Nita's right, one day off is not a big deal. And all your walking surely helped.

I had a fair weekend, if nothing else I got my exercise in. I've been feeling under the weather so it's amazing that I got any at all. Yesterday was good, stuck with the plan . Today is another day though. There feeding us today at work, think I will eat a big breakfast here at home and try to stay away from their food. When they have a big event and feed everyone the food seems always to be nasty, so should be able to avoid that.

Nicola, I guess it's easier to avoid nasty food than really scrumptious high carb stuff. It's a good idea to have that big breakfast, and perhaps slip a snack into your purse or pocket, maybe some string cheese, a little bag of nuts, something to keep your hunger at bay if there is absolutely nothing on the lunch menu that you can eat. And drink a lot of water, or some other lc liquid.

Last night I actually had too many lc tortillas, 3 to be exact. I had some old-fashioned weiners, and used the tortillas to wrap them in, dipped them in lc ketchup, had some cherry tomatoes on the side. I needed to eat 3 of them. Really. LOL! They were really good, too. We'll finish off the last 2 for lunch, maybe with some scrambled eggs. I have to thaw something for supper, haven't yet decided. It's gotta be easy - have a 7 p.m. meeting, get off work at 5, not a lot of time to cook!

Well I did good today, I ate that big breakfast and avoided the food at work. I did have some nuts, that's usually a snack I have sometime during the day. Now tomorrow is another lunch but this is with upper management and they eat good, it's usually catered in, but is always good food. I just pick around and get rid of what I don't want.

Nita, I eat a lot of LC wraps but I usually try to get away with only one. Sometimes we just can't help ourselves though. At least they were LC and and so I am sure it didn't hurt you any.

I had leftover pork roast tonight, with veggies. Now I need to go do some exercise, have a good evening.

Yum, pork roast, one of my favorites.

Tonight we have to do the WalMart thing, so I'll probably pick up a rotisserie chicken, if they have any left, that is. Sometimes they don't have any! If not, then maybe I'll get some brisket. I hate shopping, but I'm out of a lot of stuff, and can't wait more than a day or so, or the cupboards & fridge & pantry will be entirely bare. After a day of work, I just want to go home, ya know?

Yes, I sure know what you mean, two days in a row now, I have had every intention of going to the store after work..........not happening, I get amost there and make the big turn and go straight home. Just too tired to go shopping. I guess it will wait until the weekend now. Maybe Friday though, I have PTO time I need to start getting used up before the end of the year.

I don't know it there's going to be a dinner tonight, My stomach's been upset all day, will probably end up skipping it if I don't feel better soon.

Sorry about the tummy trouble, Nicola. I've had some myself, too, but more annoying is the sinus headache that will not quit.

Thursday my daughter-in-law had to make a quick trip to San Antonio - her sister was getting a lung transplant, and she wanted to be there, but hates to drive in SA by herself, so she asked me to go along. How could I say no? Her sister was to be prepped at 3 p.m., but didn't actually have surgery until 8:30 or 9. All went well. We went home Friday exhausted. And tomorrow we go to Dallas to be with our grandson as he has a video EEG. We'll be gone all week, and plan to stop in to see my brother, who is in a nursing home. Haven't seen him in ages. So, I probably won't be here much, if at all, for the next few days.

I'm going to try to stay true to plan, but at this point, I'd be surprised if it works out. It didn't Friday morning. We stayed with friends, they made us breakfast, eggs, bacon and waffles. Couldn't refuse the waffle, could I? LOL!

Nita, I hope you have a good visit with your brother. I don't get to see my brother too much either, but that's because he lives 1200 miles away. Hope to get in a visit this weekend in Ohio though.

I was bad yesterday. The boyfriend showed up with Hooters wings, just couldn't help it, I had to have some. But I've been good today. Trying to make up for it. I need to at least try to behave in preperation for my vacation starting Friday.
