Yayyy Mary Kay ... you started a challenge! I'm IN!

Ok.. on Jan 1st I weighed in at 285, but now I am down 280. So not sure which weight to start with. You choose! LOL

My goal... Hmmmmm normally I pick something that is considered reasonable..but I know my body and I know how fast I loose the first 30 to 50 lbs. Sooooooooooo I am going to go with a goal of 260! I may even loose more! I won't be to sad about it! LOL

I haven't had the best 2 day, but they definitely aren't as bad as the last couple of years of days has been.

still those darn stupid xmas cookies that hubby will not let me remove from the premises. I sent a bunch home with DD, hoping when DS comes back Friday he will take more outta here.
Hubby just makes such good cookies :(

but, I'm still in here for the long haul anyhow. Tonight is a cheeseburger with a cucumber salad.

I'm so glad to see more joing us. Great!

MaryKay, I don't make Christmas cookies anymore, they won't hang around because I will eat them all till they are gone.

I was down another lb this morning. Sure was happy about that. But you know re-induction usually gives a kickstart. I'm going to try to stay on it for the for this entire challenge. Maybe I will stay motivated.

good job!

I don't make cookies either. It is hubby's thing and he wants to make them every Chrismas. My job, was usually to eat them. But I want to quit that job.

meanwhile, I tried to talk him out of it, but no go.

Mary Kay I'm a baker at heart but this year I purposely didn't make as many cookies as I used to. I took them whenever we went visiting also. By the time Christmas rolled around I only had a few in the house and my family took care of them. It's a good thing you're sending them home with family!
My challenge today is going back to work. I have been on winter break, I work for a school, and it will be tough not falling into the old routine that helped get me in this position. I'm already bracing myself for the sarcastic "oh low carb again" comments. :S eeeek

I weight myself on Wednesday mornings........guess what? Five more pounds! I cannot believe it.

I am so thrilled with this LCE plan and the support here at this forum. The forum has been essential with keeping me focused. Thank you to each and every one of you here.

QueenMama, how could the excitement wear off when you are finally losing and feeling great too? For me, to lose the weight and not be starving while watching my husband eat regular meals is too good to be true.

Should I change my goal for Valentine's Day as I only put 10 lbs. down because I thought I was a slow loser? Maybe I should increase it as that is some time away? What do you think?

congrats katlupe! nice to see you being so successful.

you may want to update your goal to make it more of a challenge. That is up to you.

first 2009 life lesson - if the burgers act funny when you are cooking them, you should throw them away. Luckily, DH had something else entirely.

Congrats Happy1 on your 4.8 loss, and katlupe conrats to you on 5 lbs loss.
Always good to hear of someone's success.

Sandystone, I have the same issues at work, but thanks to the encouragement I get here I don't let them bother me any more. When we show some them that LC does work they will be mumbling off to themselves somewhere and we will be the ones smiling with sweet success!

That's great Happy1! 4.8! Yes, there is something to this LCE isn't there?

I am changing my goal to 153. I like a challenge and I don't think I will lose that much each week now. That was just the beginning and probably all water.

I've lost 2 lbs, and have maintained it for 2 days, so I'm counting it! And I'm getting much better on portion control, especially on the foods containing carbs.
