| Great Job EVERY ONE! I am proud of each and every one of you! I have found that blogging every day has helped me stay strong and focused! I have never liked blogging.. but I have really enjoyed it. Probably boring for the rest of the world.. lol I hit 274 during a small woosh the other day! Woot woot!

| I have been having a rough week, including a lengthy TOM from h... and a root canal. Just barely dragging myself out of bed for work and not expecting much this week - haven't been focused/tracking/behaving. I will get back into it right away.

| Oh, Mary Kay, a double whammy on you! So sorry! I am out of town with dh, and so far have been able to stay on plan. We got to our hotel last night, Red Lobster is right next door, had grilled shrimp and salmon with broccoli. This morning I had eggs with sausage and bacon at Denny's. Might go back to Red Lobster for lunch, since I can just walk over there, and don't have to get out in traffic. Tonight I might suggest a steakhouse, there are plenty of them here! And, think I'm going to wait for a full week after we get home to weigh, just because I always retain water when we travel.

| I am devastated this morning. Two days ago I weighed and it looked like I was losing another 2 pounds. This morning I weighed and I am UP 1! You should have seen my family scatter! I have no idea why I am up. I have stuck to my plan. I didn't walk as much as I usually do is the only difference. If I have to walk 2 miles a day for the rest of my life what happens when I can no longer do that? Anyway, much encouragement needed. |

| I am in your boat....Let's not let the scale rule our emotions. I know that feeling though. Down = good...Up = bad. It is usually due to water retention for me. Right now the scale refuses to move...... |

| brinella... don't stress...our body's naturally go up and down like that. It will come off but you have to stay focused. Mine goes up a couple of pounds, but in a few days it come off. Our bodies hold water for all different reasons. Maybe you had to much sodium, maybe it is close to TOM, perhaps it is stored in the bowels and will be gone once you have a BM. It is OK!

| Ladies, it's not unusual to be up and down on the scales from day to day. That's why it's best to weigh less often, perhaps weekly. And being a bit lazy one day certainly isn't going to make you gain weight! A lot of people have lost on low carb without any exercise at all. Here's a link to a good blog by Dr. Eades on the subject of exercise: Calories and exercise | The Blog of Michael R. Eades, M.D. I feel better when I walk than if I just sit, it makes my joints looser, but I have never had any better success losing weight exercising than I do if I don't.

| Not to fret, I'm sure it's probably just water weight. It will probably go back down in a day or so. I weighed in this morining, was down a lb. Hopefully it sticks, but you never know. 159/153/147 |

| I'm holding at the same weight this week, and actually I'm grateful for that. rough week, can only get better! Next week I will be a loser again. I'll post the numbers later today if you want to update.

| This is a more realistic loss for me......2 lbs. this week. Yeah, I liked those bigger losses I had when I first started. But, I know that was mosly water weight and it is not healthy for me to lose that much every week. 1-2 lbs. is good for me. I can live with a slow loss as I did not gain this overnight. I have noticed that I am eating less. Portion wise. So now I am not putting so much on my plate and I feel very satisfied. katlupe |
