| Since I am starting over (as some of us are doing at this time of year) - I thought I'd start the challenge for this year. Pure and simple, this is tracking and supporting each other during these first 6 weeks of the program (whichever one you are following). so. Here goes. On Jan 1, post your current weight / current wt / goal weight for 2/14. If you would rather not - then post xxx / lost / goal to lose for 2/14. *totally understood. then come and post your numbers for the challenge, and/or ask/give support as seen fit. On Fridays, I will post current stats on anyone who has joined in. You can join at any time through the 2/14 cutoff. Good luck all. Mary Kay 22? / 22? / 210

| Mary Kay, sounds like a good plan, at a good time, for a reasonable length of time. Count me in. And it will be a challenge because I'll be out of my home element for a few days next month. Perhaps this will help keep me on the straight and narrow.

| I will also join in since I need all the encouragement I can get. When I got on the scales this morning I almost had a heart attack, I did plenty of damage over the holidays. I am starting over again also, nothing like a good jump start. 159/147 (trying to keep that number reasonable) |

| Great. Welcome to the Challenge everyone! we have: Mary Kay 225/223/214 QueenMama Nicola 159/159/147 LucyB 157/157/142 Spenalotz 183/183/168 I know when I first came to the site in 2004, this Challenge was the first one I saw and joined. I did manage to lose about 15 lbs that time, and continued until I had lost 50. I bounced around the -40/-50 mark for several years and then got back into some very old habits. Time to put them away for good. I started today , although don't have my shopping done until tomorrow. At least I can do my best to behave and not have any of those bad holiday treats anymore. | Good Morning, I'm glad to see we have 5 of us now, great! I did a lot of running around yesterday, a lot around the house and I'm happy to say that when I got up this morning and got on the scales I was a loser. I know after starting induction over again it's probably water, but I will take it any way I can get it. 159/156/147 |

| I'm going to try to focus on portion control. That has always been my downfall. If it tastes good, I want more! I'm also going to try to drink more water. I tend to forego water in favor of coffee, and I know I shouldn't, but that's the way it is. So, right now, I'm going to rinse out my coffee cup and get a big drink of water!

| I'm really new to this forum/blog thing so forgive me if I don't do this right. I would love to be a part of a Valentine's Day Challenge. I was snowed in from Dec. 18 to Dec. 30th and feel like a hibernating bear at this point in time. I stayed very close to my LC diet but did manage to gain 2 pounds with everything going on and lack of being able to get out and walk. 191/185 |

| I just found this thread and would like to join in with all of you. I did happen to weigh myself on 1/1/09 and got sick to my stomach. So count me in because I have been trying to pull this one off since stepping on the almighty scale. I am on medications so know it will be a slow loss but hey the challenge helps me so much. | This morning we had errands to run and I did not have any time to cook a breakfast. So off I went without having anything but my coffee. In the grocery store there were all kinds of good smells! I avoided those aisles and only went down the ones that had the food on my list. This was a store we don't usually go to so we had to find our way around it. I did run into the bakery area with all those doughnuts smelling up the whole store! I turned right around and went the other way. I did have a headache and don't know if that was due to not eating or not. We ate when we got home and I think it's going away now. katlupe |
