| So far today has been good. Got to sleep late, I'm working on a protein shake, still in my pjs. Got some reading to do, a kitchen to clean, but today is going to be a lazy day.

| Count me in! I've been a naughty girl since I've been off work. It's a good thing I go back tommorw, which is when I start back on induction. So with that being said, I plan to stay on it for at least the month of Jan. And yes that includes more exercise, much more. I've already been to the grocery store this morning and gotten stocked up on lc stuff and plenty of water. I should at least get some exercise today. I've already taken the Christmas tree down and put everything up in the loft. I'm even thinking about raking some leaves. I hate doing it, but it does give me some exercise. And I surely need that.... |

| Today I had a nice thick protein shake for breakfast, cottage cheese with sf strawberry preserves on top for lunch. Supper will be steak and a veggie. Have plenty of pepperoni & cheese for the required snacks!

| I had a good first day back on induction. No Cheats, but it was a struggle. They tried pushing donuts and candy on me at work. Just said "NO" I skipped lunch at work and opted for a walk outside instead. Wasn't hungry anyways, so it was a good trade off. I need to work on the water intake though, is always a weakness for me. |

| Hi Nita, How's it going? Hope you're enjoying the weekend. I had a good day yesterday. I didn't get done the things I had planned, went off in another direction early on. But I did get a lot accomplished. And still "no cheats". It is really hard in the evenings, that's when I start craving something sweet, but so far I haven't caved. (And will remain strong this month) |

| Just finished off the rum balls I made, so that temptation is out of the way. I did buy some Carb Smart ice cream, but have to be very aware of portion control with it, so perhaps I need to back off for a time. This morning I had 1/2 cup cottage cheese topped with a bit of homemade cranberry sauce. Still trying to get in cranberries for the UTI. This time I made it with half pineapple DaVinci's and half water. Wow, it is good! Lunch will probably be leftover rotisserie chicken from last night. Maybe I'll chop it and make chicken salad, with a bit of radishes in it. I have 10 lbs of chicken leg quarters to cook, so I think I'll pop them in the oven at lunch, let them roast slowly all afternoon, and we'll have several days worth of chicken this week all ready cooked, plus it will warm the house. The high today is going to be 33, and it's 32 right now. And Saturday it was 82! Bright sunny skies, very warm weather, 2 days later freezing rain. Sheesh!

| I had to eat a salad as soon as I walked in the door from work today, sure glad I don't have anything around right now to to any damage. Everythings gone except the LC stuff. I had sausage and eggs for breakfast and a LC shake at lunch. Didn't have time to pack anything this morning, so I grabbed one on the way out the door. I usually fix something on Sunday that I can make into meals for the week but I was busy and never got too it. Guess I need to work on that tonight. |

| Had some sausage/egg/asparagus cups I made over the weekend, mainly so I could take that antibiotic. Could have skipped breakfast, just wasn't hungry from eating too much last night. All lc, but too much food. Had some leftover cabbage & meatball casserole for lunch. I think supper will be the roasted chicken and perhaps a veggie, perhaps not. Depends on what mood I'm in. Scales are not moving. They are in shock, I think.

| I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, along with my coffee. I had another LC shake for lunch. I need to fix my lunch tonight before I turn in because I just can't seem to find time in the mornings, always running out of time and have to rush off to work. Don't know what is for dinner, I think maybe a burger and no bun and maybe a salad. I've been getting some exercise, not as much as I like, but I working my way back into it. I was down 4 lbs this morning since the 1st. Being back on induction has at least helped in that respect. |

| I'm still bouncing up and down in a 2 lb range. I ran out of acidophilus, so to protect my tummy when I took the antibiotic, I made a protein shake with part plain yogurt and part homemade cranberry juice, using the vanilla whey powder. Man, it was good, too! Lunch today might be another shake, or it might be chicken. Depends on what mood I'm in when I get home. I might give dh some pastrami & cheese roll ups for lunch and just do a shake. Supper will be pork steaks. Maybe green beans.

| Nothing special today, sausage and eggs for breakfast, lc shake for lunch, but I am going to cook up something tonight, maybe some chicken and a few steamed veggies. Those pork steaks sound good Nita, if I had some in the freezer I would be fixing them up right about now. |

| Nicola, the pork steaks were excellent! I had some frozen green beans that are made to cook in the microwave oven, had a small amount of them with the steak. For breakfast I whirled some cottage cheese with a scoop of protein powder and a bit of coconut milk and water in my Magic Bullet for a nice, high protein shake. I prefer the shake w/o the cottage cheese, though. I'll stick to just eating the cc! Last night I had to go to WalMart for some more acidophilus, and found the last of the cranberries marked down to 50 cents a bag, so I got all 7 bags that were on the shelf and popped them in the freezer. We're going to be eating cranberries for months! But they are a good low carb fruit. Didn't make supper plans, gotta think about what I have & what I want to cook. I might just pop some fish in the oven (blue hake), baked with some butter and roast some asparagus alongside it. That's always a good, easy meal. The 2 lbs are still off! Perhaps tomorrow will see a bit more......

| Congrats Nita, maybe now you can say those 2 lbs are gone. ![]() ![]() My mouth is still watering for those pork steaks, but I am not going to the store until tomorrow, I've been trying to go for a while because I always spend so much when I go to the grocery store. So I am trying to eat up some of what I already have first. Tonight I too haven't a clue what I'm going to eat, maybe another burger without the bun and veggies. Unless I can find a steak in there. No more weight off today. Maybe tomorrow. |

| Another pound down! Whoopee! Pretty soon I'll be back to what I was before camp. Seems like I started really gaining right before that. Anyway, didn't do fish last night. I had a brisket in the fridge, ready cooked, so we had that for supper. I can always do brisket and be happy. I think I like the smoky greasiness of it. Nothing like having a greasy mouth after eating brisket! Yes, Nicola, tomorrow is another day. Actually, we both need to quit worrying about the scales and look to other markers of losses. How are your clothes fitting? Any looser. Mine, no, not yet. In fact, I had a really hard time buttoning my jeans this morning. I think some of my fat shifted to my belly. Guess that happens to us as we age.........

| Nita you are so right about those darn scales, I would love to just thow it out, but I know I would just go and get another one. My clothes were feeling pretty good until the holidays came and gone, now I just feel yuck. Another 4 or 5 lbs and I will probably notice a difference. Another lb gone, good for you! I'm still stuck for now, will try to exercise more this weekend, that will help. |
