PQ, I've been to Buffalo in the summer, didn't like it one bit! I'm sure I wouldn't like it any better in the winter, either. I'm from NE Ohio originally, so I know all about snow, shoveled it many, many times. Anyway, with my gigantic upper arms, even if I lost a lot more weight, I doubt I'd ever wear sleeveless clothes. Right now if it's not knit (for the stretch) and 3/4 sleeves, I don't even consider it.

So far I'm pretty much on plan, but I'm seriously considering making a strict induction menu for the next few weeks and sticking with it. Perhaps some of this winter padding will disappear.

I'm chiming in late, hope that's okay! And if I'm calculating right, the first day of Spring is March 20. Is that right? If so, I started back on Saturday Feb 21, so that's 28 days for me. I can do that!
Goal 5 lbs, and get water in. Will tackle exercise next month!

When you cheat your confusing your body. That is a tactic that works very well for most people if they have been in a "stall" for more than a month or so.

Glad to hear it worked for you!

Well, I am sad to report I did not lose a darn pound in 3 weeks. In fact, my scales show I'm up 2 lbs., making my total loss since Jan. 1 not even 4 lbs. That, my friends, is depressing. That's not even a stall. That's my loss since beginning lc'ing in earnest.

I'm hoping since I'll be able to begin exercising again this week maybe this Saturday will show some improvement. (I'm not changing my ticker in anticipation of this!)

I've been so freakin' good not cheating that maybe a cheat will help me like you, PQ!

Lavender I am so sorry to read what is going on. I am questioning this as well?
Please post your menu for a day or 2 and let's see what seems to be the issue. Once I get to see the menu I will have a better idea. The new FUZE drinks stalled me a few weeks ago? My allergy medication stalled me once, there are various things...
I was eating protein bars and didn't understand why I wasn't losing weight that week. All stallers.
Email me if you'd like, hang in there we WILL get past this one.

Thanks, ladies, I'll be happy to post what I've eaten this week so far.

    Breakfast:
Egg cream (2 eggs, cream, Almond Breeze unsweetened vanilla milk, protein powder, DaVinci SF syrup, spices)

When I get to work, I'll have a cup of decaf w/cream and Splenda.

    Lunch:
Taco salad made with lean turkey meat w/taco seasoning. I put 1/2 cup of this mixture in with lettuce, cucumbers, tomato and a little shredded cheese with some Ken's Buttermilk Ranch dressing (lowest carb dressing I can find). I measure everything out.

Snack (we eat lunch early around here so I need something around 2:30 or 3):
    Sargento Sharp Cheddar Cheese Stick

Snack (when I get home from work):
Hardboiled egg w/mayo and 1 serving vienna sausage

    Dinner:
Turkey hamburger patties w/cheese, lettuce, mayo
    and
    Roasted broccoli and cauliflower

    Dessert:
Jello mousse (sf jello w/sour cream)

The egg creams are a break from my usual sausage or bacon and eggs.

The sf jello I just had last night for the first time. I know it's one of those iffy things but I'd had my limit of cheese.

The Vienna sausage is not something I've eaten all along, just found some 0 carb ones and decided to try them.

I drink lots of water during the day, usually at least 64 oz.

I track my food in The Daily Plate and I'm consistently right at or under 20 net carbs.

I don't think of myself in Induction any longer but seem frozen at Induction levels!

I typically measure most everything, don't use pre-made shakes, Atkins bars or anything else like that. I'm taking supplements: multivitamin, biotin, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and just began upping my l-carnintine to 2-3 times a day.

I was finally able to begin exercising last night and did see a dip in the scale this morning. I've decided I need to weigh everyday if I'm going to see if an experiment I'm going to try works or not instead of holding my breath on Saturday! Although I feel I'm eating enough calories according to my BMR (usually over that to account for exercise), I think I'm going to up them just a bit to see if that helps.

I know that's only 1-1/2 days, but I'm pretty routine in my eating.

    Thanks for any help!

Lavender~maybe I am the wrong person to ask about this, my program is a little bit more simple and real food wise.
    Here is mine.
-Breakfast ( lots of vitamins and lots of water)
    -Cheese stick

    -Lunch
2 cups of salad ( w/mixed grn veggies w/more cheese) and 2Tsp of Ranch or Ceasr dressing. 1 grilled chkn breast.

No snacks unless hungry ( just lots more water) ( If I snack is it a handful of nuts or something like that)

    Dinner
Chicken wings with blue cheese ( gotta love Buffalo!!)
    (lots of water)
Snack: I have may have a s/f jello with rediwhip or something.

I don't eat any fake sugars, no powders, no bars, nothing sugar free, my body is so resistant to the sugar alchols and such,,that I know that I won't lose.
I have to look further into this for you.

Thanks for the input, PQ. I've scoured so many low carb sites and felt I was eating 95% on target and get most of my food choices or ideas from other low carbers. I know the sf jello and vienna sausages are iffy with some people but I haven't been eating them long enough to even know if they cause problems or not.

I could never get by on a cheese stick for breakfast!

Lunch is same as yours except for the type meat. I have 2 cups lettuce, some cucumber, tomato, a little cheese and 2 T ranch dressing.

I eat snacks only if I'm hungry. Lc'ing has curbed my appetite quite a bit and there are days when the snack at work doesn't get touched. But, yesterday and today I have needed my snacks!

Thanks again, PQ, and looking forward to anyone else's input as well.

I have gone down a few ounces the last couple of days so maybe I'll have a better report on Saturday.

Ok.. I question a few things..

    1. Taco seasoning can have a lot of carbs. If you look on the package it has a low number but it is for a very small amount of seasonings, thus adds up fast when there is several servings in a package. I would certainly cut the seasoning if it was me!

    2. Your seem to be eating a lot of cheese, the recommended allotment is 3 ounces a day. In addition it could be causing constipation which of course add's fecal (sp?) matter weight. Some people just can't have cheese at all.

    3. Veinna's are very much processed, and also high in sodium. Those could cause issues.

    4. S/F Jello can also cause issues due to the artificial sugar. It has been proven that artificial sugars can stall or even hinder weight loss.

    5. water intake should be NO LESS than half your body weight in ounces! This is important! Thus you weigh 200lbs you should drink 100 ounces in water!

So basically when you are having issues with no weight shedding there could be several issues at play.

    1. How many calories are you eating... regardless the carbs if your consuming to many calories you will NOT shed weight!

    2. Food intolerance! If in doubt cut it out! Start from the basics! Eat close to the source!

    I hope this helps!

Thanks for your input, Tanya. The jello and sausage are things I only ate the last few days, but they are gone so I won't get those again.

The taco seasoning is a on my part. I totally neglected to make sure of the servings. Even spread out over 5 days in my salads, that's still extra carbs not accounted for in my totals.

Calories are usually around 1750 a day give or take a few.

I've been working on lessening the cheese (please remember, the menu I posted was for Monday and Tuesday only).

As for food intolerances, I can't even begin to figure that out until I've lost something (at least that's what I'm thinking!).

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it!
