Thanks, Nita. I'm doing pretty good at the 20 carb levels as far as food variety and boredom go. If I do the original Atkins and begin losing, then I'll be equally curious as to why I didn't weight 500 lbs. eating 300+ carbs a day before beginning lc!

I like veggies, but if I could eat cream cheese and cream to my heart's desire, I would be oh so happy!

My mom did the original Atkins when I was a kid and lost all her weight (20 - 30 lbs.) in 3 months. She said she went thru a carb counter, highlighted all she could eat and kept her carbs to about 10 a day.

I've always known I'm a slow loser, but this is ridiculous!! But I'm hoping it'll all kick in and maybe I'll start losing buckets. I just can't believe that if there's alot of good going on inside why it isn't registering on the outside.

Thanks for the encouragement, it's appreciated!

I haven't weighed in weeks. Maybe I'm on a scale strike! I'm sure a slow loser though. And yep I think as we age that weight comes on pretty fast.

I've been getting more exercise in, not as much as I would like but definately more then I've had the past few months. I've been drinking more water also, but still need to work on that also.

Lavender we all have our ups and downs, so you are not alone, hang in there and try not to be discouraged.

I'm going through a "sponge" period, retaining water for whatever reason, but it's something I've dealt with for years. So the weight is up, even though my carbs have been extremely low, and my calories have been moderately low.

This morning I wasn't hungry until I got halfway through my coffee, so I made a quick protein shake for breakfast, brought it with me to work. I'm going to brown some sausage links for lunch, and make some boiled eggs in my egg cooker. Maybe add a piece of cheese, too.

Hello ladies. We've been warm but a front is bringing cooler weather. Yay! I lubs my sweaters!

Thanks, Nicola. Despite being discouraged at time and confounded, I'm staying strangely optimistic. I've had my moments of wanting to chuck it and grab some cookies, but oddly, I can't! I really do like eating lc. And I do appreciate the encouragement you ladies give me. Also, my thanks for letting me complain.

I've been on an egg cream kick lately. I think I could have them to replace all my meals! I've been making a huge one in the morning, drinking most on the way to work, then having the rest to round out lunch. I made a meatloaf the other night and that, along with some veggies or a salad, has been my dinners.

Lavender, we're finally getting rain with this front. You getting rain, too? It's luscious!

I like a good protein shake for breakfast, I usually use almond milk, 2 scoops of powder, ice, maybe a little bit of cream, and this morning I put in some coconut oil, sometimes an egg, whizzz in the old Magic Bullet, and breakfast is served. Easy peasy for the lazy cook, and lots of great protein for the muscles.

I was all dressed this morning when I remembered I hadn't weighed, so I hopped on the scales, was down a pound fully dressed, but I usually weigh in my undies, so I'm sure I lost a bit more. At least that's my story!

I'm back where I was at the 6.5 lb mark, so perhaps the next few days will show some more losses.

Breakfast was lc pancakes (flaxseed meal, almond meal, and whey protein powder, eggs, etc., sf syrup) and sausage links. Lunch was part of an OMM, 2 boiled eggs, & more sausage. Lots & lots & lots of coffee.

Yep, Nita, getting lots of rain today and due for lots more tomorrow along with colder weather, and today is already pretty cool.

I'm a lazy cook. I think that's why I love those egg creams so much! I've been hooked on the Gingerbread one I posted in the cooking section. I'm going to switch back to Protein Power, which means I can add some pumpkin to my egg creams.

Today was an egg cream for breakfast. Lunch was meatloaf with some cheese melted over it, cucumbers dipped in caesar dressing. Just had a chocolate OMM for a snack. Oh, and 2 cups coffee w/cream. I think I'm going to fix a green bean and hamburger casserole from Linda's site for dinner.

(I can't believe I mispelled "asterisk"!)

Lavender, I think that Henry and I are spelling sticklers! But, we learn from our mistakes, don't we?

Last night I chopped some brisket and browned it with leftover green beans, made a really simple supper, which we needed last night due to time constraints.

This morning was a protein shake. I added a bit of coconut milk to it, with the usual almond milk. Lunch was a beef fajita salad at the restaurant. My granddaughter and I had a girls lunch out. It was so good to be out with her.

I'm going to roast the last of the chicken I bought, ought to put it in pretty soon, and I think I'll let it cool and put it in some kind of casserole. Maybe not, Jade's a real picky eater. She's more likely to eat just plain old chicken then with it mixed with veggies. She will eat broccoli, though, so perhaps I'll steam or roast some. I could just throw some in the oven with the chicken. I bought some lc ice cream, so she and her grandpa can have a snack tonight. Yesterday she tried some pastrami, found she loved it, ate a lot of it, too! I have to tell her Mom, so she'll know to get her some. Maybe I'll get her some to take home with her!

I'm usually pretty good with spelling (always got "a's" in school) but I think I've said that word a heck of a lot more than spelled it (obviously!).

That casserole I fixed from Linda's site was yummy. Had some for lunch today, along with some macadamia nuts. An egg cream was for breakfast and I've got another chocolate OMM waiting for me for snack. I'll probably just have the casserole again for dinner.

I swear, Nita, one of these days I'm going to show up at your door for dinner!
