It's March 1st, time to begin a new challenge.

Mine is to stay on induction for the entire month. Today has been easy, due to a loss of appetite. Had sausage patties & fried eggs for breakfast, late, like 11 a.m. Cooked up some brisket with zero carb bbq sauce, had a bit mid afternoon, and more for supper. Lots of coffee today, too.

So, what is your challenge?

Mine would be to stay with low carb the whole month. It has been a while since I have done this long term. I forgot how much the carb withdraws hurt!

Another month gone by, guess it's time to concentrate on March. I plan to keep is as lc as I can but concentrate more on just getting some exercise in and drink lots of water. Today I've managed to get some time in on my trampoline before the BF showed up.

Good Luck, may we all have a good month!

Good morning!

I did some re-reading in DANDR this weekend and decided to do Induction again. I did partake of some carby things yesterday .. not a day long carbfest by any means .. just a couple things in hopes of shaking things up for this body of mine. My body has responded well in the past to shaking things up (mainly on calorie-cycling and unfortunately, it wasn't long-lasting), maybe the few carbs will help jumble things up a bit. Plus I thought I had a pretty clean induction the first time around and after re-reading I see I didn't have the cleanest one.

My tummy sure felt the effects of just those couple of things this morning! This'll sound weird, but it's kind of nice to see that my body doesn't like those carby things that it so readily liked before (or just I liked ).

So, my March challenge will be to do a clean induction and up my exercise.

My net carbs yesterday were probably only 5 or 10. Had sausage & eggs for breakfast, some brisket later in the day. And a little bit of wine (I know, it's not really for induction, but not having had any other carbs all day, I felt it was ok, due to feeling really lousy last night.)

This morning I started with a chocolate protein shake, about 2 net carbs, plus a little cream in both my shake and my coffee, so maybe 3 or 4 carbs so far today.

I have the leftover brisket and a pork roast in the fridge, so lunch is taken care of. A round steak in the fridge waiting for some kind of recipe to make it into a tempting meal.

I think I need to find my journal and start writing things down again. Helps keep me in line. The BF was here all day yesterday, I made a pork roast and steamed up some califlower. Have enough for leftovers a few days this week. I still seem to have some energy left over today so I am going to go off and see if I can get some exercise in. Have a good evening ladies.

I always journal on fitday.com. I love the site and how it keep track of everything for you. Once you enter in food you eat regularly, is easy to add it to things eaten that day. I keeps it forever! I can go back to 2003, when I first did Atkins, and see what I ate, read my journal, weight loss etc. It is a great tool.

I have done very well. I am already done 5 pounds and my first week of induction is not up until thursday. I am have made the no alcohol even through temptation. We have some close friends that love wine as much as me and my husband. They even built a new house with a wine cellar - which is a big deal in west texas where we have no basements! She wanted me to come over both Saturday and Sunday to "share" a bottle, but I said no. (patting myself on the back)

I even got some exercise in yesterday. That was the first time in a while...hopefully I am off to a good start that will last this time.

Yesterday went well. Ended with 20 net carbs and did 3 20-minute sets on my elliptical.

I have a sort of ladies night out with some ladies at church. I'm going to go ahead and eat before going since I don't know what the hostess will have. There is usually a salad at these things, so I'm sure I can get the rest of my veggies in. I'm also going to have me a little lc sweet snack waiting for me at home so I can be strong against the desserts I know she'll have!

Have a good evening ladies!

Since Sunday I've lost 2.5 lbs. So, induction is working so far!

I had 3 eggs for breakfast, medium boiled. Lunch was leftover pork roast with 0 carb bbq sauce and some olives. Supper was a new concoction. I took some small, tenderized round steaks and put some shredded Italian cheese and a few frozen asparagus spears, broken in half, on top, with a sprinkle of Italian seasonings, rolled them up, mixed 1/2 cup of tomato sauce with Italian seasonings and red pepper flakes, poured over the rolls, more cheese on top, baked until done. Excellent!

TGIF, all!

6.5 lbs gone, waiting to see what tomorrow brings.

When I got home last night I just was not hungry, so I did a shake for me & DH. We had a meeting last night, so when we got home I had decaf, he had veggies & dip. Breakfast this morning was 2 boiled eggs & decaf.

Still doing good with Induction, but no losses yet. I might have gone over a few carbs at the ladies night out but it was with good stuff. There was a salad and I picked out what I couldn't eat (mainly apples). Passed up the scrumptious looking cake she had, of course!

I only got in 30 minutes on the elliptical last night.

Food so far today has been a shake for breakfast, taco salad (without the seasonings from last week!), and a OMM. Will have a HB egg for snack when I get home (maybe 2) and not sure what's for dinner yet.

Didn't weigh this morning. I usually weigh after my shower, before my coffee. Today I had the coffee first, will shower after I get the housecleaning done. I don't like to weigh after I've drunk a couple of big mugs of coffee!

Sticking to plan - no sweets at all, just a little 0 carb sweetener in my hot tea and what is in my protein powder.

Didn't do breakfast yet, got busy doing stuff. It's almost noon, time to think about lunch!

Weighed this morning, up 2 lbs, but my fingers are really swollen, my rings are really tight, and they are usually quite loose, so I know it's water.

Yesterday the only carbs I ate were in an almond meal OMM and a cup of almond milk. And a few pickles.

Lavender, don't get frustrated yet. Some people are really, really slow losers. And fast gainers! Ain't fair!

I know a fella who does 0 carb, eats pretty much only meat, primarily hamburger, like 80% lean. He's lost a lot of weight, and now he runs half marathons with ease. He's very healthy. I am not opposed to keeping carbs extremely low, even below 20, for a time to try to get the losses started. In Dr. Atkins original book, he addresses some who can't even eat salad, they are so resistant to losing, and how they kept their carbs essentially 0 for a long time, just to lose. Some of us are like that. Sigh. Good thing I like meat & cheese!
