Coffee Tea Time

We've had other threads devoted to tea drinking, but they have somehow passed on.

Tea is such a wonderful beverage, no matter what kind you prefer. And no matter how you take it - plain, with sweetener, with or without cream, hot or iced, tea is just plain good!

Do you like just plain old black tea? Or perhaps you've been lured into the world of green tea. Or maybe you are smitten with white tea, and all the goodness of the antioxidants in it.

Or maybe you are more of an herbal tea enthuiast. Chamomile, or mint? Ginger?

Are you stuck in a rut and drink only one or 2 kinds of tea, never widening out, never seeking the adventure of a new flavor?

Why don't we challenge ourselves to try a new flavor at least once a month? Or dig out that box of tea in the back of the cupboard we forgot we had and make a cup? And let's try combining flavors, see what kind of new brew we can invent. Let us know what kind of flavorings you like in your coffee, what kind of syrups or flavors you might add to create a new combo.

Tea can be invigorating, or it can soothe the soul. It can help to unplug a congested head. It can help melt away tension and anxiety. A cup of tea is almost as good as a cup of coffee. (That's just my opinion. I like them both, but like coffee better.)

Come on, put on the kettle, let's start brewing again!

That's all I drink is tea. My favorite has to be Chai Spice although I like a good Earl Grey too. I'm going to look in the cupboard and see what I have stashed in there and try something new. Thanks for reminding me Nita.

Other than iced tea, I can't seem to really like the taste of tea.

When I was a kid my mom would have us drink hot tea when we were sick (no flavors back then) and I didn't like it then. Perhaps it just carried over.

Chamomile tastes like dishsoap to me. I bought some of the sugar cookie flavor at Christmas and even with cream, it's okay but nothing I look forward to. I was going to say "it's not my cup of tea" literally without even thinking! . Hot tea doesn't have enough "body" for me or something.

I do like flavored ice teas, like peach or raspberry, and I do make up a pitcher of Lipton's Mixed Berry Green Tea sometimes. Come to think of it, I should do that tonite when I get home. It's about the only other liquid I drink beside water (flavored with a little DaVinci SF Vanilla) or decaf coffee sometimes.
