I have been on a plateau since August when school started (my life always goes nuts in the beginning of the year). This week I finally lost another 10 pounds and I am recommitting to induction (again!!!!). I would like to lose another 20 pounds by Christmas-I guess that is about 10 weeks away, so that sounds reasonable to me. I would weigh less than I did when I got pregnant 7 years ago. That would be a lovely Christmas present to myself and my family. They are so excited when i lose weight, because I am happy and fun to be around. So, I will gladly accept your challenge, even 10 pounds would be SUPER!
Any other takers?????

I accept your challenge too.

I will loose 10 pounds by the end of December. (I think I can, I think I can...)

How's it going y'all? I have not had the courage to weigh this week, but I am wearing the "tight jeans" that wouldn't go over my big behind last spring. They are a pretty good indicator, because I can feel a pound more or less in them quicker than I can on the scale anyway, lol. Just checked in to say Happy Halloween, or Fall festival, whichever you do, and to remind you that HALLOWEEN CANDY never tastes as good as you think it will! RESIST, RESIST, RESIST, and give it all away as soon as possible. I think if I could find mini beef jerky packs that I could afford I would give those away. Wouldn't the kids love that? I speak with sorrow, because for the first time this school year I gave in during the fall party and ate a popcorn ball AND a cupcake. Since August I have said "Oh, Thank you sweetie, I will eat it later!" (Five year olds always want you to eat their presents) and then either tossed the junk out or found a skinny kid to feed it to when no one was looking. Today I just said thanks, and ate it. I am not going to give myself a hard time about making bad choices, but I have a migraine that I know is more attributable to high sugar food than to parent conferences. I am going back on STRICT induction right now so I can survive Trick Or Treating with my son tomorrow night. Good Luck everyone, and don't keep slipping those tiny chocolate bars into your mouth, you will not enjoy them as much as you think! Let's lose those pounds we promised ourselves!!!!! Let's all have to go buy a new pair of jeans or to shop in the Small side of our closet by December!!!

So I haven't been able to weigh cos the battery in my scale was dead. I went through the storage and found the old school one.

**Drum Roll Please**

I am down to 215 from 236. I have lost 21 pounds!!!!!

Woot Woot!!!

(Trying to make it to 30 for the challenge now)

Taa Daa!!! SUPER SUCCESS AMY.
I started out losing so fast it made my head spin, and now am kind of moderate. We gee, perhaps that's because of carb creep (LOL, as if i didn't know that).
I would have said "stalled" but I lost 7 pounds last weigh in. I went from 316 to 265 from mid July to the second week in August, then cruised, gained back a few, lost, gained, lost, gained... I am now at 275. That's why I wanted to join the challenge. Its almost as hard to go back on induction as it was the first time, lol. I never mind induction, its the getting started again that's hard!

I joined SPARK people, because I saw a banner ad here that said it had lo carb meal plans. Then when I got on the site, the meal plans I could find were all super high carbs (whole grains, but still carbs) and LOOOOOW fat, fake food, margarine, etc. It also would not let me enter my short term goal of 10 pounds by the end of December-- it said it was not a realistic goal. I loved it when I lost 50 something lbs in 5 weeks-- when u are lowcarbing, you can take big jumps, or I have in the past,--10 pounds by end of Dec. seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Anyway, I want to lose another 10 before the year is over. My end goal weight is somewhere around 150 (149? That's the one pound difference for normal vs obese bmi for my height.) I turn 50 in 4 months, and I wanted to be able to be close to 200 by that milestone. For one thing, I am supposed to go ballooning with my stepmom- right now the proposed balloon crew weighs out at about 1000 pounds, that does not inspire confidence

I guess that is not so reasonable, since it would mean losing another 50 pounds in 3 months, but anywhere closer to 200 would make me really happy and really feel better.

Keep up the good work, folks!!

My weightloss challenge until then end of the holidays on new years day is going to stay as focused as I can on getting to my goal weight. Im going to stay on induction until then ofcourse adding 5more carbs after 5 weeks on the induction and 5 carbs can come from grains for my plan. I decided to try and make a low carb stuffing.

I have great will power and much success so far

AmberMarie

ps

I also will allow fruit after 5 weeks and yogurt, low carb ofcourse
