Lisa, John and Izzy,

Thanks for the well-wishes and support! I really needed that! I'm still hangin' in there, although I haven't been as faithful as I know I should be. Doing good on the water but not so good on the exercise today. I'll keep trying though.

Thanks again...and have a great weekend!

Dana,
you have a good weekend too and don't beat up on yourself so much. We all need to remind ourselves that the weight didn't come on over night and it won't come off that way either! Think positive about yourself and tell yourself that your worth it, especially when your ready to o=put something bad in your mouth. Just keep thinking how good you'll feel if you fight the urge.

Lisa

Whoops. Think my post got sent by my daughter. But here's what works for me:

1. Unless it is pouring or over 100 degrees, I walk with the kids. Pushing their combined 50 lbs. plus the stroller has to be worth something.
2. I take my house key to the gym on my way to work and put it in a locker. To get in my house, I have to go to the gym. See how lazy I am, that I have to play this kind of game?
3. I carry a picture of my kids with me wherever I go. It is much easier to think about doing something good for me that will benefit them than just about myself.

I think that this kind of support is really invaluable and I am so impressed by the number of people taking control of our lives, instead of letting them be run by the Twinkie industry.

I just started back on low carb today, February 1, 2006. I would like to lose 50 pounds by September (my best friend's daughter is getting married). I am trying to get back into exercising and going to the gym. Anyone interested in sharing their struggles with me, send a message. Thanks and good luck.
