| As far as I am concerned, I started doing one hour each morning, 5 days a week of exercise. I stationary bike for half an hour followed by a half hour of workout video exercises. I have a video by Rachel McLish and she really works you!! I also am still walking on my 15 minute breaks at work but know that will end soon as Montana=snow. I wanted to replace my walking with some other type of exercise and found that video in our collection. Anyway, that's the update from me. I am planning on weighing myself either this week or next week and will let you guys know if I reached my goal of 5 pounds for this month Suzanne 06/15/03 225/220/205/170 |

| I would like to be in this challenge! I started exercising daily 5 weeks ago and it has helped so much! I started out doing 20 minutes on the treadmill and swimming 20 laps of 60 ft. Now my pool is closed and I am doing treadmill only and am bumping it up each day by 5 minutes,[I am up to 45 minutes] and 30 sets of arm weights for the flab under my arms! I plan to stop at 1 hour a day on the treadmill! Count me in! To get to the rainbow you must first pass through the rain! |

| Junie, sounds great! The funny thing is a few months ago I never even liked to exercise and today I was walking in the rain on my break and wound up with wet hair....lol. Exercise is a wonderful tool for so many things, thanks for joining the challenge Suz. 06/15/03 225/220/205/170 |

| Hey Suzanne, you did it! I purchased a DVD a couple weeks ago through Graeme and Kate Street (they had a forum over on the old site). I think it's called lowcarbexercise.com. I started it last week. 3 days of weight=training, 2 days of cardio each week. Before that I was walking 3 miles every day and doing alternate days pushups and situps and back exercises. I'm gonna stay on this! Thanks for offering the challenge. Water and exercise are two excellent activities for the lc life. John 202/176.5/170 |

| Junie - Now that is what I call a success story. In just 5 weeks! Don't you feel like running (or walking briskly) through the streets shouting at folks to get off their butts??? Don't ever stop, keep it up!! John 202/176.5/170 |

| That is wonderful news, Junie!! I am sure most people don't realize how very very serious high blood pressure is and if left untreated can lead to a stroke! 06/15/03 225/220/205/170 |

| YES< I know the Streets, I get their fitness tip in my inbox every week. I LOVE them!! I guess I am just a little worried now that I am doing strength training every day (alternate days of upper/lower body) that I will gain weight d/t increased muscle mass.any thoughts on this?? Congrats on keeping your exercise up 06/15/03 225/220/205/170 |

| I would love to take this challenge. I just want to take a brisk walk everyday (bought my new walking sneakers over the weekend) My plan is to do this for a couple of months and then move onto pilates or some other kind of exercise video. | Suzanne, I'm back (was on the challenge in July and August). Thanks for starting a new one. I wasn't going to join, because I didn't want to get stressed out about it. But, I've decided to join again and am actually adjusting my goal. My new goal is only 3 days a week (yes, I'm taking it down a notch) - MWF - the days that my DH has to get up early. If I get more in, then it will just be a bonus. Feel kinda bad taking it down a notch, but hoping this helps me to keep exercising (at least some, seeing as I've been MII (missing in inaction) the past couple of weeks). Debby 206.5/164.5/140? | I'm in - glad you issued the challenge, Suzanne! Saturday, I actually RAN for the first time! Normally, I take the ole' hound for a walk, and I just felt like running. Managed 20 minutes total and then added on another 10 minutes walking. Did the same this morning. My goal is to be able to run a solid 30 minutes by mid-October. I plan to go to curves tonight, as I haven't darkened the doors in some time. Jen 175/131/120 |

| Debby - just read your post, and you shoudl NOT feel bad for "taking it down a notch". Three days a week is great - heck, most folks don't exercise at all, so this can only help you. And, it should be fun (took me way too log to learn that one). Stressing because you fell like you should be exercising but can't on any given day is not fun. So, do what you can and enjoy!
