    Stargrabber,

Thanks for the support. I like starting out my day with decaf coffee. But I do much much better on the water intake if I start my day with water. So far today I have only had 16 ounces and it is only an hour away from lunch time. I am still going to work on getting my 118 ounces in for the day!

    Hi All,

I'm another Diet Coke addict. Diet sodas in general 8-10 a day. I've cut it back to 3-4 but I'm trying to get it down to just 1.

My works stocks free soda, and the temptation is so bad. Gotta keep a huge bottle of water nearby to have any chance of staging off the urges.

So after reading this for two days, I decided to start today. I'm trying for 128oz a day. If I can just manage one more tall glass before I hit the sack I'll be there! (and probably up again in a couple of hours

I too am having trouble getting in the water so I started today using a 20 oz water bottle and was able to drank 7 of them...beats me why a bottle is working better then a big glass but it is!

    Hi Junie,

welcome and way to go. whatever works is best...

I got in about 100 oz. yesterday, today should be easier, just staying home puttering around the house, and drinking water.

I went and had blood drawn for a lipid profile this morning, it'll be interesting to compare these readings to the original ones I had done at the end of June. My Dr. ASSURES me my cholesterol will go up, I really hope he's wrong.

I've got a 32 oz mug I just keep filling. Only made it about 100 oz. today.

During the week when I have my exercise program it's a lot easier. I pound about 16 oz right when I get up, exercise, and dring about 30-40 oz right after. I'm already 1/3 there by 10:00 , with the whole day ahead of me.

Please count me in on this challenge. I know this one will help me a lot. Today had 2 liters of water today. Can someone help me with the math...how many oz is that?

MzJones - to keep it simple, 1 liter is VERY close to 1 quart, which is 32 oz. It's actually slightly bigger. So, 2 liters is about 64 oz, maybe a few more.

Glad to have you on board the water challenge! I've got to pick it up. I've been in a semi-stall for the past 2 weeks.

Well here it is Monday. I am reporting my progress from last week. Joining this challenge has helped me a lot. I guess it is a good thing to make yourself accountable.

I only did 118 ounces two days last week. Even so, my overall water intake is up a lot!

I am going to keep going for the 118 ounces.

By the way, my 2 month stall is over. It's gotta be the water!

Izzy - ending a two month stall must feel great. I'm sure the water helps, it's amazing how something so simple can help so much. I've really had trouble keeping up to this challenge this month, and I'm not dropping a thing.

yesterday was less then 120oz but today starts my 12week transformation challenge (bootcamp 2003 is what i named it hehe) and i will not stray from my plan which includes 140oz water a day.

I have a points reward system i am using for extra motivation with rewards like manicure, movies, massages, new workout clothes, and new outfits for everyday.

keep the water going ladies and gentlemen it will become second nature after a while.

Question? I was just on the Diet Power site and a caution sign came up that stated" Consuming more than 48 fl. oz. of water per hour can be dangerous" Can someone explain this to me? is it true? and why is it dangerous?

    Thanks,
    Lisa
