| I have been doing a combination of walking, running, and brisk uphill hikes 5 days a week. October: I want to increase my running from .5 miles per day to 1 miles per day. I also want to increase my walking on the flats and uphill hiking to 4 miles per day. All outdoors. Hopefully this will lead to a 10 pound loss for October! Almost time to break out the hats and scarfs! Good luck everyone! | Hi Susan, October is right around the corner! Starting tomorrow, I intend to add swimming laps to my exercise routine, probably 2-3 times/week. I also want to up my weights to 3 times/week. I run 3 miles already about 3 times a week, and I want to increase it to 4 times per week and/or increase the mileage. With all of that, I think I will be able to lose another 10 pounds!! | I have been walking an hour everyday on the treadmill at 2 mph and today added 16 minutes of stair stepper to my routine as well as some toning bands for arm curls! To get to the rainbow you must first pass through the rain! |

| It is finally fall! I am ready for an exercise challenge. two days a week of weight training, two days of one hour aerobics, five days of ab exercises and one long walk. ! Day one is half way over and I got my abs in and my one hour of aerobics! yeah! Izzy 230/179/169 |

| I am happy to say that I am well beyond my original goal for October. I have a 4.5 mile route that I cover 4x/week. 4 miles of it I now jog, the rest I walk. I feel great. I think I will maintain at this level for the rest of the month. Unfortunately, with the days growing shorter and shorter, and colder, I might have to drop the running/walking routine at the end of October, and start up again in March.
