Star - I must have REALLY gained this week, then! I find it amazing that I was doing that beginner video from the Streets for 6 weeks, and I still feel like a total beginner. And, I'm sending <<<<<job mojo>>>>> to you, I hope you land it.

I did UBWO this morning, and got close to failure on several exercises, including my new most-hated exercise, reverse ab crunches.

Here's a link to the reverse ab crunch:

Junie and Mada - congratulations on the continued work!

It was a busy week! I missed two scheduled workouts this week. I do have a 'make'up' free weekend day which I will be able to make up one of them. So..............it's not perfect ...but not awful..............I will work hard to keep on track this coming week!

Alright... would someone please give me a good swift kick in the kiester?!

I haven't exercised since Wed. I have no excuse (except for Thursday when all the good TV shows are on)... never mind... I have no excuse.

I will get my lazy butt down to the basement and exercise tonight.

    I will.
    I will. I will. I will.

Mada stick with that I will and you certainly will ....excuses used to be my middle name that and procrastination.

I got in hour of cardio today...tomorrow is off day.

Mada - I know you will! I forced myself to get up an hour earlier before work this year - 5 am. I don't know if it's an option for you, but some very knowledgeable folks say that there's extra bonus doing your exercise in the morning, before any meals. Your body is at its lowest, carb and glycogen wise, so the potential for fat burning is at its highest! It also gives you a lift in the metabolic furnace all day, and burns more calories.

Junie - That is so great, a visit from the whoosh fairy, and it's going to just keep dropping off as long as you keep up your exercise and water!

It's my day off today, but I'm about to go out and walk 18 holes in the rain (can't live without golf). There's a few "dedicated" (you might insert other words there, like insane) golfers who are out there all winter, as long as the course isn't frozen or covered with snow.

I'm also going to have a cheat meal today, I believe it'll be a kielbasa dog on a kaiser bun with fries on the side!!

    Thanks Star and Golfunit.

When I was teaching I used to get up at 4 AM to meet a friend at the gym by 4:30! We did this for a whole year. Now I'm a stay-at-home mom who's ready to crawl into bed with my son! I think I'll try going to bed earlier and getting up earlier to exercise like you suggested. It's worked for me in the past, so I'm going to try again.

    Thanks!

Junie - That's pretty amazing! I'm glad you're sticking with it and beginning to get the dividends you deserve.

It's Monday, and I did a lower body workout today. Quads, hamstrings, calves, and also biceps and back. My legs feel like jelly again, and I know they're gonna be barkin tomorrow! I sure love the way it feels when I'm done, though!!

Mada - I hope you can come up with a routine you can live with. Can you get some dumbbells to work out with? You can do a complete routine with just those, and a place to do ab exercises. I started with a video from Kate and Graeme Street that just used dumbbells and a stability ball for a 3 times a week complete body workout.

    Hello!

Well, I did more than I committed to last week. Basically, I got in 5 days of cardio for at least 30 minutes at about a 75% heart rate instead of 4 days. I did 4 days of weight lifting instead of 3. I’m sore. Star, I must be doing something right. LOL!

I got excited by reading “Burn Fat, Feed Muscle” by Tom Venuto and by checking out some web sites with other exercises to try. I tried several and was motivated to move my body more. I’ve started off this week well by lifting weights.

I wish everyone all the best with their goals this week!
