me too. I made a tub of hb eggs last weekend, and haven't really put a dent into it. been doing morning cooked eggs - so not a real stretch.
what about the veggies and stuff on this? is this just eggs for the protein supply?
Just trying to get a handle on the 'rules'

I'm in! I started today. I will do it tomorrow as well and check my progress. If all is well and I am not totally sick of eggs, I might take it to the weekend. I have a lunch date on Saturday, and I plan on eating real LC food!

Hi Mary Kay!

Yep, it is just eggs and water. You can do a modified egg fast by eating eggs for BR and LN and then have a regular dinner.
I will see how bad I feel on just eggs today before doing the modified fast.

Can I insert a little word of caution here?

I think that egg and fat fasts have their place; I have done the modified egg fast myself, for two days, to break a maddeningly long stall. But, in DANDR, Dr. Atkins recommends a fast only in cases of real metabolic resistance, and for four days at the most. I wouldn't try to extend it longer than that, or do it unless you are really stalled.

I'm not preaching here, really, just want you to be careful.

I backed out based on information from you all. I am still getting purple so don't need a 'fast'. and I like eggs.
but will keep on going the way I have been. my menu is hitting the 24-25 carb count, and think I am starting to get some action anyhow.

Good advise from Trina. My story is that I was stalled since July of last year in spite of anything I tried, then I lost control over Christmas and went up to 215. I've had knee surgery in October & am not back to Curves as yet, sooooo......

I started the egg fast on Tuesday & want to continue through Friday so please count me in.

Sorry to whine to everybody, but who else will listen?

Good choice Mary Kay, doesn't sound like you are a good candidate at this time.

I only do modified egg fasts with a LC dinner. Constipation becomes a REAL problem with this, and I don't advise doing it for more than 2 days.

well, I sure don't need any more constipation. I'm never regular, but the last week has been tough. Finally 'broke thru' yesterday and today. outta be some 'weight' loss from that!!!
I'm seeing some numbers dropping again - think it is stopping the LC bars, not using the splenda, or C/L in some of my waters. Playing it clean, but upping my carbs a little.
gotta do my 2mile thing tonight, and curves tomorrow. I really feel like I'm doing well.

and next week - I hope to start experimenting with some of Sharrons recipes.

sounds like this is not a good idea. When i read the book I thought it said only for resistant people, but I saw a lot of posts where others were doing it. I thought perhaps it was a more common practice than just for resistant people. I will hold off on it and keep plugging away as is. Thanks for the advice all.

well, I tried. I'm going to be eating a lot of eggs over the next couple days, because I bought some, and I made a big ol mess of egg salad. But I am going to heed the advice here, and go ahead and have some salad and other meat. I still have to stay on induction levels because I was so completely off for a couple months!
