| Allow me to state my case... I lost 7 pounds in January and then proceeded to lose nothing in February. I didn't gain any either (which IS good) but, I need to lose weight, not stay the same! The suspect? Great new LC products...Yes, the stores are brimming with new low carb goodies but are they safe for us losers? NO. Maintainers - fine, Losers - forgetaboutit! I hereby declare Low Carb Goodies GUILTY AS CHARGED! (At least for me As of March 1st, 2004, I'll be swearing off the low carb goodies. This means NO LOW CARB SWEET STUFF such as brittle, ice cream, cookies, milk, etc. I will allow myself an lc tortilla or slice of bread 1-2 times per week but that's it. 99% of my food intake needs to be meats, veggies and fat, PERIOD. I am THRILLED to know, that I will be able to eat some of these great products once I am maintaining but FIRST, I must reach my goal! Approach the bench and STATE YOUR CASE. | I will join you. But w/ mine i will just make my challange to stick to plan.. no more cheating, no more.. just one bite... and i will limit my LC treats to 1-2 a week, guess i need to go buy new vitamans for my calcium.... during the last 2 weeks of feb i stoped looseing and actualy gained my goal for this month is to get down as close as i can to being out of the 200 spot..if nothing else at least 210.. but what ever i do i just dont want another gain saying as to the fact i gained 6# so im back up to 228 or so.. good luck to everyone w/ their own personal challanges.. 01/02/04-248 01/23/04-243 02/12/04-226 02/18/04-221 |

| OK, here it goes: Today I weigh in at 167...my "official" start will be tomorrow, March 1st. I have 3 specific weight goals: 155 by 5/14/04 - the day I travel to see my family again 149 by 7/10/04 - the day we leave on our cruise 140 (goal weight) by 9/9/04 - my 30th birthday Using these goals, I have backed into some shorter-term goals for the next couple of months. To be on target for the 3 goals above, my goal for 3/31/04 is 161. My rules are as follows: 1. Take my vitamins every day 2. Drink a minimum of 128 oz. water every day 3. Workout at the gym or walk (2 miles) at least 4 times/week 4. Use the stairs at least 1 time/day at work (I work on the 4th floor) 5. Whole wheat bread allowed only twice/week 6. Eat veggies or salad every day 7. NO eating past 7:30 pm 8. Visit/Post to LCE every day HERE I GO!!! AJ 5'7" - 29 yo female 1st time: 192/153/140 Recommit: 169/167/140 |

| Hi. I'm recommited to living a better way of eating which will boost up my self-esteem. Right now, I feel so down because last week I feel off the wagon again. I was almost so embarassed to come back to this site but I realized I need it. Thanks Marcie for putting this up. My case:I used to weigh 165 over a year ago and just have a little more to lose - 20 - 25 pounds. It's taken me the longest time but I know with due dilligence I can do it. I need a group that I can be accountable to. My Rules: 1. No more sweets 2. Visit/Post in this board every day 3. Exercise 3x a week (atleast 30 min) Good luck to all of us! |

| I will join your challenge. I, too did not lose anything in February. I got bummed because I didn't make my valentine's goal and that really blew me off track. (I only missed by three pounds.) Thank goodness I haven't really gained anything though. I have been eating things I shouldn't, a bite here, 4 or 5 cookies there, on and on. As of this weekend, however, that stopped. My goals for March are as follows: Eat on plan, Walk 3 to 5 times a week, toning exercises 3 to 5 times a week, at least 120 ounces of water a day. My birthday is March 31, I have an appointment for my annual physical on March 30, and I am really committed for this month. I would like to be in a size 12 for summer. Good luck to everyone. |

| Good Morning All! Well, I am still at 167 this morning, so that will be my official start weight. My goal for March is to lose 6 pounds. I stated my "rules" yesterday...so far this morning, I have taken my vitamins, had about 24 oz. of water, and had 8 slices of hard salami and 2 oz. of mozzarella cheese for breakfast (on the go!). | I'm doing great today i have drank all of 80 oz of water and its only 3 pm I'm going to the gym later so ill probly drink at least 20 oz at the gym and at least 20 by the time i go to bed.. (ill be up all nite peeing lol) my food so far today 2 eggs 1/2 slice lc bread 2 slice bacon lunch 2 1/2 cups of home maid chicken cabage soup (celery and spices w/ home maid stock) other 1/2 of lc bread 1 slice of bologna (i know im eating alot of processed meats but i need to get to the grocrie store agin and buy better food dinner im going to have 2 cups of LC veggies probly some yellow squaash some brocli or some green beans and i will have 2 beef patties maby some cheese 01/02/04-248 01/23/04-243 02/12/04-226 02/18/04-221 |

| My first day is a TOTAL SUCCESS I'm at 100 oz. of water right now and I'm not done yet so I'll easily get in my gallon. I've taken all my vitamins and eaten no lc treats or lc milk. Menu... B: Burger patty w/ cheese L: Chicken & mushroom soup w/ broccoli S: Handful of almonds & a small bowl lc BBQ beef D: A few slices of lamb leg & broccoli YAY! ![]() I feel so much better already How'd y'all do today? | Good Morning All! Well, although I feel I was pretty successful yesterday, I find myself up a half-pound to 167.5 this morning...WRONG DIRECTION! I did eat dinner a little later than planned, due to staying late at work. But, I was still finished by 8:15pm. The other thing is that I have walked 4 miles/day the past 2 days...my legs feel hard as a rock...so I know there's some muscle building going on...could account for some weigh re-distribution. | Yep, I'm sure that's it AJ. You and I know how this goes. Sometimes, we just have to keep the faith! Hang in there, it'll work out fine. I was down 1 pound this morning! ![]() I'm so glad because I was SOOOOOO good yesterday. I'm not walking yet but will start soon. | Well, finished the day off pretty well... done eating by 7:30. Had a turkey cobb salad for lunch, and some ground turkey, cheese, & sour cream for dinner, with a small salad. I've got about 120 oz. of water in, and it's only 8:15. I'll definitely exceed a gallon today! | Had a really good day yesterday with water and food intake. Was down 1/2 lb this morning. Not so good with the water today, though. Plus it rained so I didn't walk at lunch today. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day. |
