Hey there, fellow exercisers (or wannabe exercisers!!), it's March, and spring is springing. Bathing suit season is right around the corner! Dr. Atkins himself said that "exercise is non-negotiable". In other words, if you're not exercising, you're not really doing the program.

Release those endorphins, pump those muscles, and come join in the fun. Drop in any time for encouragement, questions, or just to let off some steam. Hope to see you here all month.

    Hi everyone,
I haven't had internet for a week, so I've been missing, but I'm still on track, this month I'm upping the cardio to 20 mins before each weight training session, this morning was arms and shoulders. The other goal this month is to eat better, I've done good adding carbs, but some pizza a couple times sure didn't agree with me.

    Have a great day,

    Hi Jeremy,

I'm sure you'll find, like I did, that there's certain foods that just seem to suck the weight right on to you. Pizza is one of those for me! Also, unfortunately, beer. What a cruel twist of fate!!

Back and tris this morning. Probably my least favorite day, I always feel really racked afterward. I think after Monday with chest/bis, followed by this workout on Tuesday, that all the tendons and ligaments in my upper body feel totally wasted. I always appreciate the day off Wednesday, and am back at it with legs on Thursday. My upper body is recovered in time for shoulders on Friday.

    have a great one!

Am back also, mile yesterday in pool, water aerobics today. Somehow I need to get into the weights, but... I am already getting up at 5:30 to go to the gym, and they open at 5:30, guess I could try getting up at 5:15 get there a little earlier and do a few weights on the days I swim or water aerobics....
we will see.... I have the hole month to try to get some of those weights into my routine.
That is my challenge to try to do weights more than occassionally.

Good morning, it's Wednesday, too dang early here. Carolyn, you're making such great progress. You'll know when it's time to do the weight part!

LLB - good to have you back again. BTW, did you know that head coach Mike Martz of the Rams and I were high school classmates? Probably not :->, he doesn't like to admit it...Also, the fact that we weren't really friends might add to it...

    have a good one

    Hi John,
As I am in the AF and am now FORCED to exercise I would like to join this challenge. I have to do unit pt on MWF and I do step aerobics on T/TH I like to add pilates to the mix on T/TH as well. Like Caroline I need to add weight to the mix but am having such a hard time losing this time I am scared. I know it'll make me look leaner and that is what people see but it will decrease the scale sayings and that is what I see.....anyway I will be exercising at lunch today. If anyone has a good light weight program let me know.

John- I'm a big Rams fan and also a Mike Martz fan. I have had season tickets since we got them from LA. After we won the Super Bowl, I bought six more tickets, so now I have 10 seats in a row in end zone bloody nose section. I sell six of my tickets to buddies and we have some of the best tailgating parties before each game. The first year was a sixpack and a sub sandwich. Now we have 30' feet of tents, sat dish with t.v., stereo, lights, heat, and have had lobster and steak for playoff games.Come to think of it thats probably one of the big reasons I need to be here!!!!!!

    Welcome aboard Kameron.

Kameron, great to have you here! I'd check out this site:

    www.exrx.net

It's one of the best out there. They have routines, exercises, you name it.

LLB - very cool. I love the "Greatest Show on Turf". When we were there at good old Madison HS in San Diego, Don Coryell was lighting up the scoreboard at San Diego State. I think all San Diegans have loved offense since the Sid Gilman days of the Chargers. My bro still has season tix to the Chargers, and the tailgate parties there are legendary. You know, summer weather all season long.

    Hi everyone,
Today was 20 mins cardio, leg day with weights, leg day is the hardest for me, at least I know I did some good when it's difficult to drive home from the gym. I'm still wishing for the warmer weather to come, the schwinn is tuned up and ready for some major miles this year.

    Have a great day,

Okay so today we had a practice PT test. I did 1.5 miles in 20.57 7 real push ups and 35 real situps. Now I know for some that may sound horrible but for me that's really good. Anyway I am going to check out that site you sent me John before I go home. Oh my goals by October are
    45 situps
    10 pushups
    17.00 1.5 mile

Good Thursday morning, LBWO day here, too, Jeremy. Funny, I picture your leg spasming on the accelerator, and your car jumping forward...

Kameron, good deal. You'll make amazing progress once you really get into it. I'll bet you reach those goals much sooner than you're thinking! Also try www.abcbodybuilding.com for great information.

Well, gotta jet (golfunit sounding trendy and important)

    John and all,
I am off to advanced step aerobics. This is the one exercise class I live all week for. I wish it was on more days than one with this instructor. I am sore from PT yesterday and we have PT tomorrow, so that will make tu- fri doing something. I was going to Pilates on Sat but we have to work all weekend.

    Hey gang,

Count me in for this month too. Today was w/o day. 300 crunches followed by complete ubwo...delt raises front and side, reverse flys, curls, overhead presses, bench, and bent over rows. 21 miles walking this week so far. Progress is good. Almost back to where I was strengthwise last fall. I'm really hoping for a full tennis season this year. Anyone had tennis elbow?

Kameron way to go girl! BTW what is PT? I agree with the Unit, you will reach your w/o goals much sooner than you think. And remember, you will be adding muscle weight. So guage your progress more by the way your clothes fit and loose the scale for a while. Tough one I know.

Carolyn, you are the model of consistency.

Jeremy what kind of Schwinn do you have? I'll bet you've got some good roads out there in Utah.

John it's almost golf season. I wonder how your w/o's will effect your game.

Here's to a great March! Only a little more than 2 weeks til Spring!
