Did Curves already today - today is the day I get the bike out of the back of the garage, pump up the tires, and see if they hold. (been about 12 years).
Gonna take the doggie on the 2-1/2 mile walk later today. Just feels like a good day (and the SNAIL fairy visited - down 2 more lbs).

Starting a Curves weight loss challenge May 4th. Got the book this week, and it looks pretty consistent with the other low-carb programs. So, I'll do it for the 6 weeks. Only 6 lbs more till that ever-elusive ONE-derland I am working towards.

figured I wrote it down, so went and did it. got the bike, the tires held - I even rode it around the block - I think the motorcycle was easier! Needed the inhaler, but that shows me I need to do this.
Gonna have to work with hubby to get it really ready. The handlebars are a little turned to the left (weird holding the tire straight). I sure can tell I haven't done this for 15 years - but am doing a lot of stuff I haven't done for 15 years!!!
Now I need to find some instructions on gear shifting. or sell this one and get me an old fashioned bike (my preference) with higher handlebars and brakes on pedal. So much easier to deal with. I sure aint planning on any major bike races.

I am outdoors, I am doing stuff. Been sooooo long since I even felt like it.

Just stopping in to let you know I didn't fall off the face of the earth. LOL! I've been on the board on and off, but mostly trying to be helpful in the background.

No formal activity, just lots a frenetic running around and being supportive. I did have a lovely guest for lunch today, and lots of good conversation. I'm going to let that count for something, since it's the first time I've really laughed in days!

Tomorrow I will do my treadmill, no matter what. ... well, that's the plan, anyway.

Barb - It'll be interesting to see how much those boxes weigh. Even 10 pounds can give you quite a woprkout if you lift enough of them.

Mary Kay - Good going on the bike and cleanup. Sounds like you have energy to burn. I could never figure out the 12 speeds of my bicycle. I wish I had gotten the old type racer bike that just had 3 speeds and the control was on the handlebars.

Maggie - Glad you got some laughs. Hope you managed some exercise.

I felt so energetic myself yesterday. About a month ago I had added some supplements and they increased my stamina by quite a bit. The past 4 days I started doing the Cranberry water from The Fat Flush Plan. As well as the metabolism raising spices that she recommends. Between everything my stamina is incredible as are my energy levels. Did 4 miles at the lake at the fastest clip I ever did with the dog on the leash. of Course I barely gave her time to do her business. LOL

Black monday. Looks like everyone's been as lazy as I've been today. But yesterday I managed 3 1/2 miles. Today I managed to drag myself out of bed and over to my computer chair, where I remained most of the day. i did have to run to the store for dinner supplies but that hardly counts as 1/4 mile of walking.
My excuse is that it's a dreary rainy day. Sophie found out that it's because of this challenge that we are walking so much, so she wants to give you all a kiss.

my day was spent beating my head against a wall on a project I was doing. then about 2, bolt of lightning hit and I changed direction completely on it. Found a solution, but my brain is drained - and exhausted from just being in front of computer all day.
so, got in a few hours of head beating. Thats about it. but will do Curves tomorrow.

Hidey Hodie Taters!!! I've been AWOL again for awhile, learning HTML (getting obsessive about it 'cuz I REALLY like the idea of working from home for these guys) I went to Curves on Saturday, but didn't go today. I will go tomorrow. I got a good enough workout at work today.

Bleeeeeehhaaaah, Sophie got me right on the mouth!! LOLOL. What a hysterical pic, Rob!!!

MK, you are on a roll girlfriend!!! Keep up the good work!!

Maggie, I think laughing definitely counts.......especially when you need it!!! Glad to see you checked in. Hang in there.

Barb -
what would you be doing? Sounds like fun. Last week I spent in a SQL programming class, and am working towards certification in VB.NET web design/database - gonna be a while before I can take the tests. The classes only cover so much and there is a lot of extra work /study that I can't seem to force myself into. And work picked up again, so no time during the day.
Working from home is great - I could never have done Curves if I didn't have the freedom to go when I need to. and didn't have to worry about anyone seeing me after

this is my son's new puppy I also babysit for during the day - (sorry its so big)

DH is just teaching me basic HTML right now and throwing some Stylesheet stuff at me in the process. He does all the ASP, JSP stuff, database stuff, etc. His partner does the artwork and design. They needed a HTML Monkey to do piddly stuff for them, so I'm feverishly working at it. I'm even designing my own LC website. When it's done, I'll post a link for everyone to see. I LOVE it!!! It's my new addiction for sure. It's really fun to take a bunch of coding and words that look boring and complex and turn it into a page anyone can enjoy on a browser. It speaks to the creative side of me. I'm going to DRAW my own artwork and have DH scan it in for me. (Don't know when I will get THAT done, but it's going to be something flowery.) This will take me a while to do, since there are only so many hours in a day, ya know?

Hey Taters!
I see we've been a busy buncha veggies...And what cute pups!!!
Thanks for the kiss, Sophie. Gunner and Tara would be jealous if they knew, but we won't tell 'em.
MK...yanno...beating your head against the wall does count as exercise What's the 'baby's' name?
Maggie...glad you had some laughs. Always makes everything better for me.
Barb...Boy I wish I had just a fraction of your computer skills...exercise at work is a good thing, makes ya feel not so bad when you get home dog tired and collapse on the couch
Went to the gym today. That makes 3 straight visits I've stayed on schedule (trying to go M-W-F or some variation, depending on work and such). And, BF came to the gym today too! Very happy to see he is using the gift membership I got him for Valentine's. At work now...tired....

Barb - you'll love working from home. The best part about it is the 30 second commute (in your underwear). :silly:

Tara - good going on the gym visits. It should get even easier with someone to go with. My friend saw the picture and wanted to know how I taught Sophie to blow bubbles.

Did an even 4 miles today at the lake. The new supplements I started taking a month ago and the cran water and lemon and hot water from fat flush have really given me an incredible amount of energy and stamina for my walks. I hardly noticed today when I was going up a very steep very long hill. Though the supplements haven't done anything for my tree pollen allergy. Was coughing and sneezing and blowing my nose the entire time. But I finished the 4 miles in 1 hour 3 minutes 14 seconds.

I've been a BAKED TATER the past couple of days - record-breaking heat here at the coast, Sunday was 85*, Monday was 92* :( , Tuesday 87*, finally today there was some of that wonderful "coastal cooler" fog - so I suspect low 70's which works great for me!

Needless to say - no formal exercise. DH and I did a lot of gardening over the weekend though, and oh yeah, I HAVE been doing my isometrics every morning after I hop out of the shower. It's working, too, my pants are looser in the waist.

Next week should be better - if it's cool enough to get back on the elliptical then that's where I'll be Mon, Tues and Thurs at least!
