    Default May Walking

    Well, it is time to get my goal posted officially. I did not make my April goal, but did get 66 miles in for the month. That with the 62 for March add up to 128 miles since I started tracking my footsteps. May has 31 days and I really want to focus this month. I have some milestone goals for summer time and hope the walking will get me closer to them. I challenge myself to walk an average of 3 miles a day for 93 miles in May. Anyone who would like to join me in walking, just set your own goal and we will get started. Post in the following format:

    Goal/miles walked/miles to go

    93/6.5/86.5 to go

    Hi Slatelee, I didn't make my goal either. I planned on walking this afternoon but it's windy, cold and drizzling out. My new goal for may is 35 miles.

    I will get you on the list. We may not have made our goal, but think of all the calories we burned!:great:

    Have gotten 3.5 miles today and done better with my water intake. May is going to be a good month!!! Very cool here tonight too. Warm weather has to be close! Wore a jacket walking this evening and it was very chilly. At least the rain has stopped now.

    Got 1 mile in this morning -- it is going to be sunny here today with a high temp of 67! Should get some more miles in later.

    I didn't come close to my April goal, so I'm setting a more modest one this month. I want to get in 30 miles for the challenge, and anything over is just gravy. =)

    I'd like to join the May walking challenge. I'd like to walk 50 miles in May. I'm only at 2.5 miles now. My exercise plan also includes weight lifting twice a week.

    I am in, I am in! I went over in April so I guess I had better set myself a tougher goal. :square: I need to challenge myself, but still make it attainable. I am thinking 108.5 miles, that is 3.5 miles a day. And today is the 4th, so I need to post my miles for the first 3 days. Saturday I got in 6 miles, Sunday I got in 4, Monday I only got in 3 so that is 13 miles to start the month.

    It's one month before our show, and life is starting to get crazy for me. Until June, I'm going to have 6 - 8 hours of dance class a week, so this month I'm only going to focus on 'deliberate' mileage (walks in the park, etc. that I can count the mileage with preset markers).

    Went for an hour walk in the park on Sunday, so that makes me...

    Glad to see familiar names and welcome to new names! I got another 3 miles in this evening. (that was up and down hills and pushing a stroller) Really worked out! Could tell a big difference when it came to pushing the stroller up hills. Woohoo! Supposed to walk in the morning at 5:30, so I am headed for bed.

    only got in 3 miles on Tuesday. TOM is here and with a vengence, so needless to say I felt cruddy yesterday, and didn't do much after work.:crying: I did manage to drag myself to At The Beach, but was barely up to the toning tables, did them, went home took some meds and went to bed. I also think I have caught a bug..or something after spending ALL day Saturday out in the rain, wind and cold because my throat is so very sore, my head hurts, my ears hurt etc. You get the picture. No fever so I am holding off going to the Dr. Will let you know how I fair over the next few days to a week. Only up one pound :square: though which is EXCELLENT for me with TOM here.

    Feeling even worse on Wednesday so I went to the Dr. $20 co-pay and several meds later, I still don't feel great. :( Needless to say I only mananged 3 miles on Wed. I am hoping to do better today but....you know how it is when you don't feel well. I have only managed to make it to At The Beach every other day.:( I did however manage to loose .5 even with TOM here and feeling cruddy.

    Mary Kay- thanks...Is that new? I don't remember seeing that happen before. Of course maybe I wasn't paying as close attention.

    I got in 5.5 miles on Thursday and I am already up to 6 miles today!
