I can't actually claim 177.5--I have hovered all week except once between 178a nd 178.5. I have to keep that number I guess! It may actually be good for me to have some time away from the scales--but boy am I going to have to be careful at my parents if I don't have a scale to monitor with--I go up really easily!!!! I leave Tuesday!

No weight loss for me this week, although TOM is here, so may check in a few days to see if any progress once that leaves.

I know what you mean huskersfan, I'm heading to my parents for a week, and am a little worried about that too. I am planning on stopping by the grocery once I'm there to stock up on things I can eat; hopefully that will help.

Great job MaryKay and Luv2camp!

I am in a slow spell--I am bulding muscle--lost 3.5 inches this weeka nd held steady in the weight department!!! measurements don't lie neither do tight pants--they are getting looser and closer and closer to fitting! Another couple of weeks like this one and I will fit into those capris nicely!!!!! I cang et them buttoned now--not necessarily easily--but buttoned and zipped! Swimming sure works muscles you didn't remember ever using! my arms, shoulders and back are sore today--overdid yesterday I know! I need to go get dressed--still in my pajamas--which by the way are 2 sizes smaller than my other pair--top is a L and bottoms are M--my other one is a 1X and is really baggy but comfortable! I want another set like this one! It is great--spaghetti strap top with long bottoms! may have to hit the mall today--have to go over tot ht side of town to the Super Walmart for things like snacksf or the plane ride AND underwear. . .hmmmmmm! gotta love losing weight!

Amy G I am losing quite slow myself. Have hit a plateau. I am going to go to the store and get some pulls that block carbs and see if maybe that will help with this plateau. I have lost one pound this last month even with drinking water, diet and exercise. Crazy! My body usually stays at this weight during different times for the past 6 years so it's sticking to it now like mad. Maybe a bit of extra help from those pills (I'm already on Atkins and dieters' advantage) will give me the boost I need. As soon as I see the scale move about 5 pounds I'll hold off on the pills until the next plateau. I've given it my best so I need to try a different route.

Have a good day Amy!

Haven't posted in a while. We were gone to Disney World the first week of June. Last week, we had new carpet laid in our house so my house is still turned upside down! Must have been a little looney to plan vacation one week and new carpet the following!

I weighed in at 195.5 this a.m. I've been very pleased. I actually stuck w/ the diet in Disney World. (Thank goodness for smoked turkey legs - hehe) I will have to admit to being possessed by the carb demons this past Wednesday! I have been following this WOE since March 15 w/o cheating ANY. My almost 3 year old was begging for a milk shake so I pulled into Sonic to get him one. I ordered popcorn chicken and onion rings for myself. Although I didn't eat all of it, I ate enough to make me feel oh sooooooo guilty. Anyway, I rebounded on Thurs. and have been doing fine since.

Good luck to everyone. Seems everybody is doing well so far.

Down another pound to 227.5. Slow going lately but at least it's down not up. I'm 7.5 pounds away from meeting this challenge. Have a good week all.

Down a pound - I am so excited as the pounds are so slow lately. Been about a pound a month now. Hope that the pounds will go off a bit easier now that I'm trying a carb blocker. Plateau's on familier weights sucks!

Have a good day!

Okay....I'm excited! We went to see the Indy cars race at Texas Motor Speedway last night. My husband's company was invited to sit in the suite, so it was nice: our own bartender, the bathrooms are in the suite, air conditioning, etc. Anyway, I had a big brunch around 11:00 a.m. because I got up so late and we were leaving at 2:15 to get there. I was looking forward to a fruit and/or veggie tray, but there was none. They had chips and salsa ONLY until 5:00!!! And of course, the bar. So, I had a bottle of water until the food arrived and I was HUNGRY. The ONLY on plan food I could get was chicken breast, BBQ beef (I scraped the sauce off) and some sort of lettuce slaw with a vinegar-type dressing in it. So, that's what I had. Then, I whipped out a Z Carb bar later instead of having (get this) Snickers Pie or cheesecake. I WAS REALLY TEMPTED BY THE CHEESECAKE!! But, I said "no, I was down a pound this morning and I'm not giving that up for a peice of that!" We did not get home until after 11:00pm and I was hungry again. My dh went thru Sonic and got him a burger and tots, so I got a double CB w/bacon. I ate it at home without the bun, of course. Then, I stayed up until 1:45, because I didn't want to go staight to bed on a full tummy.

That's three times this week I have stared down temptation: Macaroni Grill Thursday, IHOP Friday, and TMS Suite/Sonic Saturday. I think I am finally living this woe instead of "playing house" with it.

Anyway, sorry for going on about it, but I am wieghing it at 233 this morning. I kept my pound off and I have 8 more pounds to lose for this challenge. That's 3 weeks from now! And a TOM to endure between now and then! Wish me luck.

Thanks, Heather! Like I said, I am finally getting serious about this woe, instead of playing around. Two months ago, I would have been more than happy to use the late arrival of the food as the perfect excuse to eat the chips and salsa. I fell like I'm walking around with a little devil on one shoulder and a little angel on the other. It's just that now, I listen to the little angel alot more.

We are almost eactly the same weight, so I hope we can move on down the scale together! My 4th of July goal is 225, and I will be having my TOM between now and then. Let's do this!

I'll be happy to move down the scale with you maxibee! I'm sure I'll see you in many more challenges to come so we'll become great friends. I love all the people I meet and everyone is so encouraging. I hear about someone's victories and I can't help but to pass them on to my husband. It is like I'm discussing what a dear friend has been up to. You guys are great and keep me going when at times I have wanted to give into a craving that would lead me to another, then another and so on.

Finally! I can report a loss....
206 for the last 3 mornings! Not sure that I can lose all that I planned by the 4th due to my last almost month long stall....but every pound is a success. It will come off in time!

Happy losing to all.
Amy G
