I am not going to make my goal for this challenge--I have gone up two pounds since last week, but I had a veritable carb fest this weekend!!! I ate about 300 gs Sunday! I know I had this coming! It will come off but I would rather be 175 than 177 so am working on it--but 168 in NOT going to happen in the next 5 days. When I get back home I will do a wek of strict induction and get back on track!

Default July 4th with a bang

I haven't posted in awhile but I am still here and hanging onto that darn 230 # for dear life. As Iwannalilbutt says... I feel good. I haven't even been weighing myself for weeks as it has been to depressing but and now that TOM is coming soon I may not for awhile more. I will win this battle with the plateau monster no matter how long it takes. Have a good one everyone!

Hey, Heather, can I commiserate with you? I've been bouncing between 232 and 233 for over a week. Up, down, up, down.....I'm beginning to think I have that metabolic disorder thing. I am going to begin writing down EVERYTHING I eat or drink, starting July 1. I did this before and it really helped me be more aware. I bought a little note-book, and I'm ready. We'll see.

Hi Everyone,
CONGRATULATIONS to those of you who made goal or are likely to before July 4th!

This week I didn't lose a thing! I was so hoping to meet my goal by the holiday weekend. Last weekend was a little tough to control because I was staying at a friends house. Even so, I think I was able to keep the carbs under 40 a day. That was not enough or not enough water or not enough exercise...I am sure that I can improve in all those areas. I will keep hanging in with the challenge, maybe I can lose a pound or two more!
Best of luck to all of you,
MsCelllany

I am backdown 1/2 lb today--so slowly working that extra two off! Am hoping to be back to 175 by the time I get home on the 11th of July! My next weigh in date since the next two weeks will be a little hectic and I won't be home or anywhere near a gym for the most part! I will try to find ways to continue to swim but that may not happen either! Am going to make an effort though!!!!! I am going to say that my 4th challenge final weight is 175--I didn't make 168a nd I haven't officially gotten into a 12 which were my two goals--but they will come--just not for this challenge! I can wear some 12's and 14s are actually loose so one day they will miraculously fit--size L shirts fit nicely except the ones that are fitted tightly--I don't like the way they look--but that too will come! I am happy with my body as it is right now--I want it to be more toned and thinner--but I like what I look like right now and that is a huge start int he right direction!

Only 1 lb from my goal with 3 days to go.The problem will be that I always seem to gain a little bit on the weekends, and lose on weekdays. I will push the exercise for the next three days, hopefully I will be ok. This sure seems like slow progress - in my case 3 lbs in about 7 weeks. Contrats to those who have made their goal!!!!

Well, tomorrow is final weigh-in day. I'd love to be able to claim that 230 I saw on the scale this morning. If I see it again, I will. That will still leave me 5 pounds short of reaching my challenge goal, but it was fun! We'll see what Independence Day brings!

Well, I'm still stuck at 196. but I will be wearing shorts for the local holiday festivities - pretty much unheard of in recent years.

wow. i was completely shocked when i hopped on the scale and was greeted by a 174! now, this scale likes me mostly, but of course, you have to do the work before the scale can like you anyway, right?

anyway, i was excited to meet my challenge (and surprised!) and congrats on everyone for their progresses! it's so uplifting to hear about everyone's progress.

I seem to vary a few lbs up and down within a range. Sometimes as much as a 2 lb difference /day. Some of this is water retention.

Anyway, for my 6 weeks on my challenge I got 1/2 way to my goal of 178. I am down from 182 to 180. So I guess I made progress, although it was very slow. Contrats to all of you who stuck to this and especially to those who made goal
