| Hey McClintock... way to go on the inches!!! sometimes that's even better than the weight...because I know I love seeing my jeans get loose!! As for the water, I am not sure if there is an actual method, but I have found that if I drink a minimum of 100oz of water then I don't retain any. I think I read where you should drink 8 - 8oz glasses a day and then add 8oz for every 25 pounds you want to lose..??? I don't know for sure. But the more the better, especially if you are eating a lot of sodium in your foods... I try to really watch the sodium... but sometimes it's hard. Keep up the great work!! Julie

| Yes, I know you want to see the number on the scale drop, but inches are actually way more important!! Dr. Atkin's suggested to drink 16 - 8oz glasses of water a day (128oz), that's what I try to do, but usually get around 12 - 8oz glasses a day, like Julie said, the more the better!!

| I am so excited to be working on the exercise bike my in-laws brought over for me. I'm going to keep working for 30 minutes a day for the next 2 weeks. After that I think I am going to increase my resistance. Feels so good to exercise again, it has been to long! |

| I am so hungry and get this way always before TOM comes to visit. I ate a good satisfying dinner 4 hours ago but doesn't matter. So I thought I would come out here, check my mail, drink some water and am not going to eat anything because it is to late. Dang TOM! One of the reasons that I gained weight before is because of late night eating so I vowed to never eat past dinner now. Of course I am craving the cheesy pasta dish I made my family so I am going to go and get my butt in bed now before I give in. |

| I am up late... stressing about my move... I went out with my friends tonight and to all who warned me...LOL... I had 1- yes 1 drink, and was really buzzed!! I can't believe it!!! But it was good, because I didn't really want more! I did end up toasting with a glass of champagne later on, but that was it!! I didn't eat off plan, and I hope and pray the scale doesn't go up in the morning because of this night out! Tomorrow I have to finish all my packing, and then I will be off line for a week while I am in transit!! But I am still sticking with the program, and the challenge!! I have 15 pounds to get off by the fourth of July, and I intend to do that!!! Way to go Goddess!! that's one pound closer to making your goal!!! I know you can do it! I get cravings at that time of month too, and I don't like to eat late at night either... I find the later I eat, the hungrier I am when I wake up! Hope you resisted temptation, Baby Blue!! Well, I better try and get some sleep. I have a lot to do in the morning!! I hope everyone has a "perfect on program" or POP Friday!!! Julie

| I am bummed to MaryKay... after my "night out" I am retaining water - I was UP by 3 pounds today!!!:crying: But like you... I am sticking with the same goal, because I know it's only water retention... after all... 1 drink and 1 glass of champagne doesn't have enough calories to make me gain 3 pounds...and I didn't eat anything off plan... so I will just wait for it to go away... and continue on to my 245 pound goal for the 4th!!! | No new loss to report for me this week - had a few bad choices earlier in the week...but i've been good the rest of the time. We'll see what next weeks weigh in shows. Great job to everyone else though! |

| julie-don't let that ol' scale discourage you! i'm glad you realize that the sudden up is water. that's one of the reasons that some folks don't weigh every day. i do, though, because it helps me stay right on top of how my eating choices are impacting my weight. i don't have a chance to get too sloppy. and you'll be sliding into those 14's before you know it, honest! oh yeah: and welcome to the "cheap date" club! i am still totally shocked every time i put on 16's and they fit so easily, and even those 14's are getting looser every day. (wonder how dear daughter is gonna feel about mom "borrowing" her pants. LOL) i figure in about another week or so, i'll be able to wear them comfortably. got some new stats, btw. 187.5/185/175 2.5 down total, 10 to go! having the extra focus of this challenge has been very helpful to me. so thanks everybody, for all the positive energy!! |

| I'm thinking the holdup is that I did increase the intensity of my workout - and may be stuck with that darn muscle/fat thing again. oh well. got a fresh challenge - and no doubt in my mind that I will break 200 sometime during it...

| No weight loss to report but inches a just melting away. that is funny because the first time I did the Atkins diet I lost weight and had a hard time with inches and this time it is backward.Can anyone tell me how to calculate water consumption? Its your goal weight in half or something like that. I can't remember. ThanksHope everyone has a fun and safe weekend. I really hope I can hit my 4th of July goal. :o
