I have started using an ab-roller (I have 2 kinds, the hoopy thing that looks like a bent hula-hoop) and the one that rolls across the floor. I find the best benefit from the second one - I can really feel it in my stomach muscles, and can see it in the results.
Crunches are good for abs, but they always hurt my neck, so didn't really do them.

The one that you roll across the floor does it look like a tire with something sticking out of each side?

sorta. I've seen that one. This one is a blue and orange thing with a spring loaded wheel. It helps a little. I'll check the name on it later.

OK, let me try again. I failed at the Memorial Day Challenge.

New numbers 182/182/178 I am hoping that joining a challenge will make a difference

Howard:

You didn't fail unless you gave up completely!

We can all tell you stories about a day, a week, or month that we went off track, or our weight went nowhere.

Every day is a new chance to start again.

Hang in there

Yea! I've seen 201.5 several days in a row (including one 201). So, you can change my stats to 202.5/201.5/198!

Congrats MaryKay! :jumpgreen I can't wait to be under 200 (I know what you mean about being "obsessed" with this particular number. Usually, when you lose, I'm not far behind, so hopefully after this weekend...

Yeah Cindi. Come on with me!!! I'm not going to weigh again until Saturday. Now that I have stopped the obsession (saw it several days) - my plan is Tuesday and Saturday weighs. Tuesday is the day Curves weighs me for the challenge, Saturday is just a reminder for the weekend
I don't know, something about that 200 number, now I feel like I can relax about the weighins. (not about the plan, though!)

I am down another 1.5 this morning and when I get on it I often only see that weight once maybe twice before it is a lower number and I am doing induction this week with Poohbear so I suspect it is a real weight! I put on my 14's this morning and what do you know???? No wiggling to get them on--going looking today for an outfit in the next size down to work toward!!!!! That makes me

183/179.5/168 goal--total loss 3.5lbs

yay marykay! welcome to the "under200" club! i'm a recent joiner myself, and it feels great. congrats on all the losses. and huskers--you're making it hard for me to catch up, dangit!! lol

and you all are so right: you don't fail unless you quit!! well said!

i'm not moving right now, but i have been a bit sloppy with my food choices, so y'kno.

reminds me of a fellow i used to work with. we worked weekends, and he always came in looking like total you-know-what every saturday morning. and he always said the same thing: "if you want to play, ya gotta pay."

I have a 2 lb loss this week - that leaves me with 5 lbs to go for this challenge! Good luck to everyone else, and have a great weekend!

Default July 4th with a bang

I'm down a pound with much hard work! The scale had not moved in over 20 days. Exercise, exercise, water, water, water has been on my mind and it finally payed off. I was at this weight once for years so I was getting scared that it was going to be forever before I got off this plateau. I've heard stories of plateau's of 7 months! Was a bit scared that would be me even though I wouldn't change my eating ways. Now on the move again to lower numbers. 12 pounds to go for me! Not to shabby!

The 1st lb on this challenge came off easy, although not as I envisioned. I had minor surgery this week to remove a non-malignant cyst out of my lower lip. I will be fine from this. But the pain killer dampened my appetite, and it is painful to chew, even crisp lettuce. So I am eating less. I am trying to get adequate protein from Protein Powder shakes.

Heather, I know what it is like to go 20 days without results, even with exercising. Hope things are started for you know.

Howard
