Seesko - Everyone is entitled to take time off from exercise. I'm counting the dog walk today.

Tara - good going on the pushups. Enjoy your alone time with BF. Like I have to tell you that. LOL

I'm counting my dog walking today because I didn't get a chance to do a long walk today. House sitting, overcast looking like rainy day and having to take my Dad to the emergency room, ate up my day. But I did 2 laps of the dog trail for a full mile walk this afternoon and the walk from the hospital parking lot and then trying to find my dad in the maze of corridors, plus walking back to the car added another mile. My dad has congestive heart failure/emphysema/chronic bronchitis and hazy days really affect him badly. He's fine, they gave him some kind of smoke inhaler and that did the trick. But it took 4 hours! Got a free dinner out of the deal at Golden corral. so add another 1/2 mile from all the trips to the steak grill I made.

Rob, hope your dad if feeling ok.

My "activity" today was mowing the lawn (DO NOT discount that. With all this rain we've had it was a true challenge, but I prevailed. "My kung-fu is mightier than your chlorophyl laden opposition! Uhh!"), giving myself a touch up (flaming red from the scalp out now) and designing the labels for my "Ulitmate Irreverant Holiday CD"! ... which will be available as a gift for anyone who asks - but don't ask unless it is extremely hard to offend you. (Barb & Charski ... and maybe Rob, you're already on my list. LOL!)

~~giggle~~ I cannot WAIT to get that CD!!

I am exceedingly hard to offend unless you pick on one of my immediate family members or very short list of best friends.....

My activity has been limited to gardening and yardwork but hey, that's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!!

I'm gonna try getting on the elliptical tomorrow after work though....

Did better today. I ate "clean" all day, even at the Baby Shower I went to this afternoon! No cake, I had veggies from the veggie tray.
I got in the pool again, but did only about 7 minutes of exercise, since I had to get ready for the baby shower.
I gotta say, I think this last week-end was good for me. I realized this morning that I was having some pretty yucky 'symptoms', that I have't had since induction. I had sorta forgotton about them, til I felt them again after my 4 day binge. I was having a few mild dizzy spells, and was feeling STARVING within 30 minutes of eating to fullness. The lightbulb went on! Duh! Eating sugar does this to me! So, since it reminded me of yet more reasons to stay on this wonderful woe, I am not counting it as a step backward.

Maggie - I want on the list. I don't know the meaning of the word 'offend'.

as for my exercise today - Curves, Water aerobics.
Spent about 8 hours both days this weekend in preparation for a garage sale this coming weekend. I hurt in places I haven't hurt before. DH and DS were there for the big items, but I ended up setting it all up and going through all the old MIL boxes that have been sitting around for 3+ years.
Don't ever want to do this again. I stress way too much over it. You wouldn't know it from my postings, but I am cursed with a touch of social anxiety. Dealing with strangers really stresses me out.

I'm definitely wanting to be on the list. Offend, to me is two words, off end.

Don't have time to comment individually to everyone this AM, gotta get off to work soon.

Maggie, I can't WAIT!!!!

The streaming video is now up and running on the CBS website. There's a post about it in the "everything else" forum under my Chicagoland thread. The link is there. You may have to download some video thingie to get it to work. It's pretty cool to be able to see the whole thing there. The guy that owns Good Carbs, Gary Wells, is the one who recommended me to Dorothy. The piece starts out at his store. I think it's interesting Dorothy left out any comments from the grocery store's nutritionist. She kept wanting us to focus on the fiber content of some REALLY HIGH carb foods. HAH, that stuff ended up on the cutting room floor!!!!! GOOD for Dorothy!!!!!

OK, fans of highly offensive, politically incorrect, holiday music. Your wish is my command. I'll put out a call closer to the holidays for you to pm me with your snail mail addies, so I can send them out. Anyway, if you don't enjoy it, the disk makes a nice coaster - that's what I do with all those free AOL disks they're always sending me. Maybe I'll send instructions for making a coaster with each disk .... ???

I was a rotten 'tater today. Back to work after one of my mini-vacations meant no mini-sessions today. All he .... ck has broken loose. I had ten minutes for a lunch break and used that running over to the farmers market that's on Court Street to get some flowers. No flowers. The flower guy had folded up his tent and gone home - probably due to the lack of business since we're in the midst of this this biblical type rain event thing here. Blehhhhh!

Did only a few of my wimp-a$$ pushups when the day was almost over and I realized I hadn't done anything but stub my toe on my 8lb hand weight. Blehhhh! terrible day, except for the tomatoes and zucchini and canteloupe I did snatch from the last die-hard vendor.
I'll do better tomorrow, I hope.

Ah tomorrow is another day!!!!

Highly offensive, politically incorrect holiday music...........sounds right up my alley. Rick will love it too!!!!

Well, let's see..........I worked a whopping 2 hours yesterday and got sent home. Things are getting REALLY slow at work. In July the pool supply business dries up for a little bit, everyone's got pretty much everything they need by then. So since I was sent home early from work, I was able to stop in at Curves and get my workout done right away. Then I came home, ate some lunch, and then out to the Thistle Jungle. I worked out there from about 11-5. OH WAS I TIRED after that!!!! And I'm not done by any stretch. I still have piles of debris everywhere. My mower carts are both full to the brims and my wheelbarrow too. I haven't even put a dent in all the weeding that has to be done in that area. I'm off today, so it's back out to the weedy salt mines again today. Oh, and the steering pin on the riding mower we just got fixed, broke!!!!! GRRRRRRRR!!! We'll take it over to our neighbor who fixes mowers. What a pain.

No time for individual greetings, just a general well done!

Walked the mall yesterday due to rain. Did a very fast paced 3.5 miles.

Today did 4 miles at the lake. And the 1/2 mile dog walking thing. My walking log is at 110 miles for July. And 3 more days to go. Boy is this fauxtato tempted to rest on his laurels.

Well, Rob. What are laurels for, anyway.

... which is easy for someone like me to say, having a small laurel deficit at the moment.

However, I did get in about 4 mini-sessions today and a "stroll", at lunchtime. It actually stopped raining for a brief spell here ... right before the thunder storms started. LOL! I think the mushrooms are sprouting fungus in these parts.

Hope you guys get the cool off we just had here. It was WONDERFUL!!!!!! But it's going to get hot here again. It was pretty warm here today and I slave AGAIN out in the yard for a few hours. Ugh!!!! There's still so much to do and I am not looking forward to the hot weather again. The steering pin on our rider crapped out, so I have piles and piles of yard debris to haul out to the "outback" in the yard. That will be a workout in itself!!!!

Well I'm off to watch John Edwards on the TV. Wanna see what the man has to say.

Maggie! OOOh! OOOh! I want one! I want one!

Funny you should mention that...I'm in the process of making mix cds for the vacation drive and I have some WiErD stuff in my 600-some list. One song is about a detachable (name of unmentionable organ here), another is a '70's porn' instrumental (hilarious!) And of course, lots of r&b and oldies that even people who know me, can't believe I'm into. I love being an enigma.

Glad to see everyone's ok. Rob, hope your dad is feeling better. That humidity can be heck on those poor chf 'ers and chronic lung 'ers.

Barb, the video was awesome! Your voice is just like I imagined
I have been @#% for exercise the past couple weeks. Softball game this past Sunday, in which our team fell apart and got trounced. Otherwise...work. My dogs, house, and yard beg my attention for my day off Saturday. And since BF is off to FLA again to visit his dad (who's ill), and best friend is off to a picnic, I'll have no excuse but to get some stuff done!

later, taters! Off to make some flax buns!

OK, Tara. Clearly, this CD will fit into your eclectic collection.

Looking forward to a more structured day, myself, here, so maybe I can get back into my (not quite habitual) routine.
