| Charski - Sounds like a busy enough day to me. Barb - Hey, we all have weekends like that. Nice to see you've already gotten past it. Mary Kay - I loved Asimov's Robot series. I want to see this movie. were there a lot of kids in the theatre because I'll wait until school is back to go if there was. Tara - have a good softball game! Cynthia - If it isn't working anymore maybe you should start counting calories. Why not post in the Atkins forum for suggestions. I know there have been numerous threads like that but it can really have meaning when it's all about you. As for me - I woke at 2:30 this morning and tried until 3:15 to get back to sleep. But nooooooooooooooo, I couldn't. Drank 3.4 pot of coffee before sophie got up and I took her out for her walk. Decided to just hit the streets since at 5:00 a.m.sunday they are deserted. Walked 2 miles, Then this afternoon I walked another 3 miles. So a total of 5 for the day.

| Oooo, Rob, sleepus interruptus, I HATE when that happens!! Well it's HOT here (read, 78* and about 75% humidity hey for US that's HOT! LOL!) so I thought I'd be a 'tater all day but NOOOOOO - first I took out the two older plastic Adirondack lawn chairs and hosed them down, then scrubbed with a short-bristled, stiff brush, in preparation for painting. Then DH needed me to help him tie up the tomatoes, so trekked out to the "south 40" (our lot is about 1/2 acre) and started in on them - then he decided we needed a different type of twine so trekked to the garage and back. Got that done. Then wrestled with a 9x12 foot plastic drop cloth and finally got it down flat on the garage floor, and so far have expended one can of spray paint on my Mom's plastic lounge. Will wait a few more minutes, then go turn it over and do the OTHER side. May or may NOT get to my chairs, it's after 3 pm already and it's just getting warmer and stickier! I'm sweatin' like a hot hog in a holler, so may just go sit down in a shady spot with a big glass of ice water with a slice of lime...yeah, that sounds GOOOD! Bye Taters! Char

| Sounds like everyone is doing great. Keep up the super week. I am still walking 4-5 miles everyday. I have been doing this for almost 3 weeks straight (a record). I also started lifting weights, doing sit ups, push ups ect... every evening (for the last 8-9 days). My weight lifting seems like cardio workout as well. It last from an hour to an hour and a half. My husband has been really pushing me. He even makes me end with a half mile jog. Anyway, I thought I would see a good weight loss for the last two weeks ( I didn't weigh in last week), but only went down one pound. I know muscle weighs more than fat, but I don't think it is possible to have already gained muscle...is it? I expected a loss before I saw any ups on the scale.

Good for you, girl! Hey Char, you are FINALLY using that new paint? I'm still waiting to hear your report! I understand that "early wake up" business, Rob. We talked about it on one of the older boards, I believe. You're right to just make some coffee and get on with it. I've found that's the only thing for me to do. I also try really hard not to take a nap or go to bed early when that happens. It seems that the more I adhere to my usual sleep/wake times, the faster I get back on a normal schedule. Don't know a cure.

| Hey all... Ugh the softball game today. UghUghUgh. We lost a game that we never should have, I had a totally off game, and ended it with a huge hematoma/abrasion (in the shape of a cleated shoe) on my left thigh. Ow. I can already feel it stiffening up. Now at work, and I finagled some more OT. Started at 5pm, staying till noon tomorrow, then coming back 4p-8p. Ugh, but I turned down a shift I shoulda taken next week, so this will ease the guilt. Rob...sorry bout the insomnia. I can relate. Maggie...haha...I'm sure you've got plenty of muscle. Can't have much fat at your weight! Seesko...WOW! way to go with the walking! Char...sounds like work to me. Cynthia...I haven't been dropping lbs but have seen a drop in clothing sizes and definite difference in pics since last year. Maybe that's what's happening?

| OW!!! Tara! Who's the klutz that stepped on you? Hope there is an opportunity for ... ummm ... let's say: justice. And what weight I do have is mostly fat, I think. I'm still a "cork" in the water, which is a fairly good indicator. That's one of the reasons I keep trying to challenge myself here. LOL!

| Actually, I blocked him sliding into 3rd. Why he bothered to slide 5ft from the base when I had the ball....I dunno. Testosterone, perhaps? It was amusing to me that he tried a 'take-out' slide in this casual league we play in, but couldn't knock the ball out of the girlie's glove like he wanted to! haha, there's some justice for ya! ps. It must be all that harmful fat you eat on your fad diet

Finally found one of me at pretty much my worst, and got a new one this weekend. The Curves and water aerobics are paying off. doing a little happy dance today. Made a good mood for me

| MK Way to go!! I have noticed this, too. I have not really lost much by way of lbs over past year, but the pics tell the real story. And the 2 clothing sizes I've lost.

| MaryKay, I said it in the photo area and I'll say it again here: You PROVE that the "inches vs. pounds" thing is true. You look as if you've lost much more weight than the scales might report. Nothing much to report for me here. My judge just came back from a two week vacation. 'Nuff said, I hope. LOL! *** And I did a reply to this from work, which clearly never got here. Basically I was telling Tara that there DID appear to be some justice in the world.

| Maggie - I woke at 4 this morning and got up. Unfortunately I crashed this afternoon and had a 3 hour nap. Ouch! I will pay for that tonight. Charski - 78 degrees is hot???? There are days I wake up to that weather. LOL Seesko - Wow, You're really doing well! Tara - Sorry about your injury. I'm sure it would hurt less if you had won the game but at least you tagged the %$@#$ out. Mary Kay - You're looking good! I like the way you dressed similarly in the before and after pics. Cynthia - How's the pool going? Barb - How's curves? The Trompe L'Oeil? Cbs? I walked 4.3 miles at the lake today. I did the extra .3 just to get my miles for July to exactly 75.

| Thanks guys. I knew it was working, but really didn't see it myself til I put them together. I credit most of it to the exercise. I never had the energy, or the breath to do much before. I feel soooo much better than I did last year. I really feel like I have acquired such a healthy habit this year. It was just chance on the clothes - I happen to like pale yellow.

| Rob, 4AM, euwwwww! Better that than 2 am, but STILL! I had trouble getting up at 6:30 this am, since we caught the late showing of I, Robot last pm and got to bet after midnight. It has been so long since I read the book that I couldn't tell if it was the same or not. It wasn't like the actual "Robot Series" with R. Daneel and Elijah Bailey, I, Robot, if I remember correctly was set just as the use of robots was becoming common, which is similar to the movie. Cool that you have 75 miles already this month! Char, are we really in the same state? Seems funny that 78 is hot where you are at, and here, my pool isn't that much cooler than 78, lol! Barb, any word on when the video will be available online? I have been checking daily, but nothing yet. How is your kitchen wall coming along? It was so hot when i got home that I just flopped in front of the fan on my bed and napped (sort of) til after 7! No pool, no weights today, but I am planning on getting back in the pool tomorrow. |

| I did somewhat better today - 3 mini-sessions, plus I took some extra stairs ... AND a couple of times around the block after I scarfed some lunch in record time, resulting in dropping much of it on my suit which is, as are most of my things, washable. So after washing several portions of my suit in the ladies room, I went out walking and it only took twice around the block to dry it out completely, ready for my first afternoon conference. Tonight I'm working at home. Blehhhh.
