You bet! My favorite brand for years has been my name-sake "Maggie Sweet" from HSN. I gave away dozens of these suits as I shrank. Unfortunately, I've sort of "in-grown" (is that the opposite of "out grown"???) most of Daniel's creations - petite small is a bit large, but there are more and more washable microfiber garments out there in other places now.

MAN I hate that - had a nice long post going, hit some weirdo keystroke combo and ~~poof~~ ALL GONE! GRRRRR!!

Anyway the long and short of it - here at the coast, where summers are typically foggy at LEAST half the day if not more, and about 65*, when it hits 80* and 80% humidity - WE think it's HOT! LOL! And we've had that since last Friday. Ugh.

Therefore, I have been a TRUE TATER so far this week, other than the aforementioned activities of the weekend! It's all I can do to get myself IN the door of the house before removing articles of clothing down to the most offensive (aka northern undergarment) and then collapse out in the courtyard, with a Diet Lime Coke and fervent hope for a good breeze!!

Maggie, oops, I forgot the paint report, I did already paint two of the four Adirondack-style plastic chairs, a lovely bright blue - they look WONDERFUL! It took 4 cans of paint per chair to really to an adequate job though, so cost about $12 per chair, at which price I could have bought new ones on sale, but hey, these are BLUE, not GREEN! I love them.

I was working on my Mom's lounge this weekend, which went from green to beige to match HER plastic outdoor furniture.

Now I have the last two Adirondacks to do maybe this coming weekend if it's not too hot, or muggy, or foggy, or.... well a Tater can come up with a reason!!

Howdy Taters.............been really busy here, getting the house ready for the Bunco Squad tonight. I made the nicest veggie platter and NONE of the them ate any. I guess we'll be having TONS of veggies for the next few days. I want to eat them up before they all go bad. I went to Curves this morning bright and oily.

It's late and I don't have to work tomorrow, but I'm wiped out.

Haven't done anymore painting on the wall lately, been so busy. And the streaming video STILL hasn't been posted, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I think I will shoot Dorothy an e-mail tomorrow, begging her to get their IT dept. to get their rears in gear.

Tomorrow it's supposed to be 90 something and HIGH humidity. The house is pretty much clean, so maybe I'll take it easy tomorrow and paint the wall. (We don't have central air, ugh!!!!!!!)

Sounds like you're all doin' great. Gotta get to bed, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaay past my bedtime.

Laters......

Mary Kay - I figured you hadn't planned the clothing but it just set the contrast up better. No tricks like wearing black in the after picture.

Cynthia - Good going on the pool! You should start a pool exercise group among your friends.

Maggie - 3 mini-sessions is better than nuttin as we are fond of saying here. LOL

Charski - I've hit that same keystroke combo a dozen times and it is always after you have written volumes, isn't it. Grrr.

Barb - glad to hear you're still keeping up with curves.

Did a 4 mile walk at the lake at a nice clip (3.9mph) yesterday. Felt really good afterward. Day before I was feeling cruddy. Unfortunately the temp is going back into the 90's today after only being 88 yesterday. (Yeah what an improvement 88 is over 90). Have been doing 10 pound barbell reps about 5 times a day but limited to 2 types since I don't know any other ones I can do sitting down. I still haven't got a book. But i did go to the library and get a yoga dvd. I've watched it twice and it's very relaxing. But so far no danger of actually participating. Have an appointment in a village 10 miles away and it's a few minutes from Tanglewood. so That's where I'll walk today.

yesterday, did Curves(morning), water aerobics(evening). Forgot to get weighed at Curves for the challenge meeting. doesn't even bother me.

Am wearing my last (smallest) pair of tight jeans this morning, and they fit perfectly. Not ready to shop, cause most of my other clothes are now drawstring/workout clothes and they will be fine for awhile.

Looks like everyone is doing great! keep up the great work.

I did my 5 mile walk again yesterday, but drug husband along with me. We waited until 6:00 last night to go. It was only 96 degrees then instead of the high of 105 yesteray. I also lifted weights last night. I am getting better at that.

Mary Kay - You Are Doing It!!

Seesko - You Too!

People are getting moving. that's nice to see and it keeps me trying.

went to Tanglewood early this morning and did baout 4 miles. I can only guess because I don't have a pedometer anymore. At the lake I use mile markers. I was going at a pretty fast clip considering that I was walking on a mountain bike trail that has roots and small stumps all over the path. Hit a downed tree branch the wrong way and went flying. Amazingly my pride was the only thing hurt. I was in pain for 5 minutes but then I was fine. When I was 310 not only would I have twisted, sprained or broken something, it would have registered a 5 on the richter scale. Then Sophie jumps into a stream that was mostly mud and rolls around. Now I was 2 minutes from the car when she did this and it was 5 minutes to 10:00. I had an appointment 5 minutes away at 10:00. I was ready to tie her to the bumper and make her run behind the car. But then I would have only been able to go 40 mph. LOL

I lied. felt like shopping.
We had seen a new store - Sleepy Hollow - all kinds of period dresses.
I had to go there today, and bought me a 'GOAL' dress. you know, one that almost fits, but just tight in areas. 10 lb will fit, more will just make it look better.

Actually more like an investment. spent $165 on it, but it looks like a LOT MORE!!

This one is varying shades of burgundy/coral (sort of), , spaghetti straps, multi layers of hankerchief style overlays , velvet cutouts, beading, crocheting, tassels, chiffon underlay. Not so much 'formal' as fun.

OMG, it is soooo gorgeous. And it actually fits over my bod, just a little trouble on the side zipper in my chest area.
Now I need to find someplace to wear it in a month or 2. Yeah, going to VEGAS end of October. Gotta work on my buds to get dressed up one night.

Hope everyone is doing well today! Mary kay you'll fit into that dress before you know it.

If I was a better map reader I would have reported a 4 mile walk. I tried a new trail about 30 miles from me and their trail maps were crude and badly marked. So I went down one trail that i thought was another shorter trail and luckily I asked someone how much longer it was. I had already gone 2.5 miles and I thought the trail was 2 miles long. They said about 8 miles more. eek and I would have had to walk back too. So i turned around at the 2.5 mile marker and walked back to the car. Did an extra 1/4 mile on an environmental nature trail. so 5.25 miles.

I did get to go to the regional farmers market, since it was nearby, and bought $10 worth of fresh veggies.

Thanks for the report, Char. Maybe next year (or the end of this season) I'll revitalize my green stuff with a new color. I wonder if they have something in the coral family? hmmm?

Rob, glad you didn't snooker yourself into a 20 mile hike - sorry, but it's just no longer a walk at that point.

Wow, Seesko! You're a dedicated fauxtato challenger! Good for you!

Barb, I sense that you will be doing very well in the 5 a day challenge, given your company's kindly leaving you with an abundance of veggies. In this weather, nothing hits the spot like something cold and crunchy, anyway!

MaryKay, I didn't mention it in the photo gallery, but DO make sure hubby carries a fire extinguisher when he takes you out in that dress .... oh, yes, and a club to beat off all the other guys.

I did a lousey job on my mini-sessions today. Working a good part of the day with the IT guys trying to solve a computer mystery on my computer at work. I DID do a lot of one handed curls while mousing around, so that if I suddenly went postal, I'd be too weak to do much damage to anyone.

Way to multi-task Maggie! Might as well work out while getting other things done!

Rob, I agree with Maggie that 20 miles would have been considered a hike. HOwever, I am sure you could have done it! Sounds like you had a great walk!

I just got back from a 4.5 mile walk with ds. Dh bought me a stroller that you can run with the other day. I tried to jog a little bit through out the walk, but couldn't jog far. I think that it might have slowed my pace down a bit because I got tired. I completed my walk in 67 minutes, which is a little faster than my usual 72 minutes for the same walk. I am not going to lift weights tonight. I am taking the day off from that. I did do my sit ups and push ups though.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Hey taters...

Been doing nothing but working the past several days And nope, I haven't gotten up at 6am to go to the gym. I can barely drag myself out of bed to be at work by 8am, partially due to the fact that I can't get sleepy before 1am. I think I will make myself go tomorrow morning, and I have to do some cleaning also. Some cleaning....who am I kidding? I have A LOT of cleaning to do. Oh, I am so glad I'm back on nights in 11 days.

BF and I planned to go to the wave pool tomorrow, but of course, it's supposed to rain and go down to 79. WTH???

Au contraire! The added muscle strength will only benefit your postal rage!
