Maxibe- I feel the same way! 2 days on the scale or it is not really there! I have even had the glorious experience of seeing it for a few days and having it disappear for weeks at a time.

For the last few days the scale has read 203. I will claim it. It seems weird to be so close to the new century!

Last night I tried on the little black dress I wore to my mom's wedding about 9 years ago. Not only did it fit....It was a little big. It is almost surreal.

Happy that the glacier here is melting -albeit slowly -but melting none the less!

Sorry, my beginning weight is (whisper) 256. I am down 4 lbs this morning. But, I feel so much better already. Not a lot more energy as of yet, but not as young as I used to be either. I do feel the difference, though. In the last year, my body does not want to give up the weight. Cannot say that I have lost anything. But then, have been off my diet, more than I have been on. This is day four and so far, no cheating. YEH!!!!!

Thanks for the good idea. But how do we get through the summer without ice cream? That's a real biggie for me! At any rate, after 2 years fairly stable, I've gained 10+ (varies from day to day) pounds recently due to stress eating. I'm trying to get that under control even though the stress hasn't decreased. Since I don't feel better after carbing out, it's gotta be mind over matter!

I am going to add a mini-goal to my list of strategies to help me meet this challenge: no regular sugar-added Peanut butter!!! I made it to Curves 3x this week, and drank my water; however, my weight is actually higher than I expected (will weigh in again at Curves next week before posting because I know that it will be lower)--probably due to the cheese dip (and a few tortilla chips) I ate during my lunch at my fav. Mexican restaurant yesterday...

Congrats! This is the only place where people want to be losers! Amy, I guess with this summer heat, the glaciers are melting a bit! I saw that 230 again this morning.

Then I picked up the cat and re-weighed. It was 240. Wow! SHE gained over 9 pounds in this past year, not ME!! So, I weighed again (sans kitty) and it was there: 230. So, I'm staking a claim to it. Wow....I could be in the 220's in the next few days!

I can't say I'm proud to weigh 230 pounds, but I weighed 250 for one day about 3 years ago. I think seeing that number is what woke me up. I knew that one more pound up would put me closer to 300 than 200....and that freaked me out. I'm NOT trying to be ugly to anyone who weighs more, please don't think that. Even if a person weighs 155 and they should weigh 110, they are 45 pounds overweight. And that's a big deal to them, too. I would never try to make anyone feel bad. There are people heavier than me, and there are those MUCH lighter than me. But we all have a goal in common: lose weight the healthy way.

(Chips, salsa and queso are my fave!! Soooo hard to resist! I usually eat some salsa or queso with a spoon, just so I can have some! LOL!)

Sign me up--I will weigh tomorrow morning and post it then--I know I am up a few from when I left the 15th of June--hopefully not too many--my goal for Labor Day will be 168. It was my 4th of July goal too--but somehow I seem to be stuck around 178.

Welcome: pkdad, huskersfan869

Maxibee: Wow ? what?s going on with your cat?

louieb: thanks for the info ? are you claiming 252 this week? I saw that you were down 4 pounds (fantastic :jump: ), but I couldn?t tell if you wanted me to change it.

Amy G: Hip hip!!! See ? your right, the heat is helping with the glacier.

Paula: There?s lots of lc ice cream out there ? you just need to be careful with it. Are you joining us for this challenge? If so, I need your stats (beginning weight, and where you?re trying to be by Labor Day) for the master list.

sswlaw: Peanut butter ? eh? We all have our favorites that take us down the path. Mine is pepperoni pizza?believe me, you can resist the peanut butter!

pkdad: I need your beginning weight, and what your challenge goal is for Labor Day, so I can add your stats to the list.

About Tinkerbell....her birthday is July 4th and she is no longer a kitten, she's a cat. We got her last September 7, (DD's birthday present) from the SPCA. She was only 8 weeks old and already spayed! We took her home, tapped the digital scale and put her on it....and it didn't change from 0! Anyway, she is full grown now and 10 whole pounds! Wow, it takes alot of Kitten Chow to gain over 9 pounds in a year! Crunch, crunch! (I bet if I ingested only Kitten Chow and water for a year, I would've LOST more than 10 pounds!) LOL!

OK--damage done--2.5 from pre vacation weight 5.5 from my lowest weight--signature weight! So, I have 5.5 to go before I start showing losses again--stats for this challenge are

180.5 start weight--goal weight 168

Personal challenges--swim 3x a week 30 laps or more in 30 minutes, Ab exercises 3x per week on opposite days of swimming and get at least 10gs of carbs from veggies each day!
