Ok folks, how did we do.... I did wonderful... as I mentioned my friend had a wonderful weekend of low carb food planned.... friday night when we got there, we had taco salad...I counted out 5 chips for my salad... ate those and was extremely happy.
sat morning bacon and eggs, taco salad for lunch, snack was hard salami and provolone. I made some orange sugar free jello, and made a parfit using some of my yogurt mixed with the jello for the middle layer, it was great (I mixed the yogurt with about three tablespoons of jello, a little vanilla, and some splenda...)
Sat night we had steaks and salad (she made mashed potatoes for the guys I didn't have any), had desert, then some strawberries and yogurt, and maybe a 1/4 cup of mixed nuts.
I had some crystal light peach tea... very tasty...
Sunday bacon and eggs, dinner we were back here and we went to our fav. buffet place (has crab legs, shrimp, craw fish, and oysters on the buffet all for 8.99 per person). Had salad, broccoli with my dinner... didn't get their soft serve ice cream, but waited till I got home and had some of my lo carb choc. icecream I had in the freezer....
so All in all I had a good food weekend, didn't drink enough water, but I stayed true to plan....

Hooray for you, Carolyn, for doing soooo well! That is just great!

I wouldn't say I necessarily binged this weekend. I more just grazed. Some off plan. Some not. I was like you, though, when it came to chips - I counted out a serving, and that was it...plus I couldn't eat more than that. The salt & vinegar from the chips and the vinegar from salad dressing made my tongue just burn, burn, burn. So had to stop for that reason. I didn't do all that great this weekend. At least it was a little better than quite awhile ago where I would go overboard and just eat, eat, eat and NOTHING was ever on plan...I'll get it down more this next weekend. I just know I will.

DH was going to take me out for a surprise breakfast on Saturday since I told him that's one of the things I miss us doing (plus I miss restaurant style bacon and eggs!)...but I started making myself an egg before he asked if I was ready to go get some breakfast...oops...and I ALWAYS ask him if he would like me to make him something but for some reason, I didnt ask on Saturday! Oh well...thinking about going out for breakfast for bacon and eggs next Saturday instead...well, bacon and eggs for me - and sourdough toast and bacon for him...oh, I could just bring my own lc bread if I wanted to make a bacon and egg sandwich...

Anyway, enough of this...I know next weekend I'll do much better. I want to be able to maintain this weight loss through this week and through all of next weekend as well..and who knows? My body might give up a couple of more pounds as well!

I was out of town all weekend. I ate some on plan and some off. The "off"s always seem to have far more effect on me than the "on"s. Like I have to eat on plan for 4 days to compensate for 1 off plan meal. Bummer. I'm sure the alcohol (which I seldom indulge in) had alot to do with the fact I was up 5 pounds when I weighed this morning. I am firmly back on track, just disappointed in myself for the moment. Next weekend is another opportunity to make better choices.

Coming round to another weekend, anyone want to challenge yourself to eat on plan all weekend...., I plan on it. We are staying home this weekend, I plan to go to the gym on saturday, do some yard work, and maybe some organizing this weekend.
come on in and sit awhile.... by the time you know it, the weekend will be over
good luck to all

Another weekend and I'm ready for it. Football parties begin this weekend(exhibition) and I've already told my fellow football fans I won't be attending the weekly pig fest. So far I'm doing well. I've eaten dinner and I actually need to eat another couple hundred calories before bed.

We are staying home this weekend as well. I have vowed to eat on plan and walk with my buddy. I want to get back to my signature weight! I'm going to the store tomorrow and I'm going to take my time and make sure I get alot of on-plan foods. That's been a real problem this week. I've done okay, but I know I would've done better if I had the right foods available. We don't plan to fail, we fail to plan. I'll check in later!

Where is everyone? I wasn't able to get in touch with my walking buddy, so I didn't go. Dumb, huh? So far today, I had a l/c tortilla w/taco meat & cheese, some shrimp dip (cream cheese, mayo, green onion, shrimp) with celery, 1 1/2 peaches, 1 plum, a bone-in ribeye steak, some green bean casserole, and a diet rootbeer float. Washed down with iced tea, diet soda, and water. Not as bad as I thought it was after I listed it all.

Someone ask me if I started my Food Journal again. That was really helping me, and I went on that trip and didn't take it and haven't written in it again. My last entry was August 5. So, someone bug me about it until I do it, okay? Thanks.

I had the best weekend (eating wise) I've had in a long time. Average calories and carbs for friday through Sunday: 1900 cal. and 47.5 carbs.

I did fairly well this weekend. We stayed home, and dh cooked a wonderful roast on friday night, which we used in a chef salad on saturday night, and had one more meal of left overs last night.
Saturday i also had a grilled chicken salad from Sonic for lunch, (and a couple of dh french fries - oh maybe a dozen or so). Got in all my water saturday.
Couldn't sleep sat night and ended up having a small bowl of his cocoa crispies cereal- been a long time since I had those....
Sunday - light breakfast sausage and lc pancakes with no sugar syrup, and roast, broccoli and green beans with mushrooms on sun. night.
i did have a coke 2 on sunday.... I know I was low on veggies and fruit on sunday, and also water.
I weight on wednesday, so I will let you know how I did.... I think ok... I think it all balanced out.
Next week going out of town to an engagement party... not sure how I will do, but am going to the gym before I go so I atleast get that in....
will check back on friday.

These Fridays roll around fast don't they. I consider Friday day 1 of my weekend since I work a short day and there's plenty of time to binge if I let myself. But I'm not going out tonight and I think I'll go to bed early to read for a couple hours. No calories or carbs in that!

Maxibee - Start using that food journal! NOW!!

Carolyn _ so how did you do wednesday?

Hey, Rob! Thanks for the prodding! I found my food journal and started back writing in it Tuesday.
Today was a weird day. I never really had meals, just stuff here and there on the run. Everything on plan, so I hope I don't have any rebound pounds (I lost 4 this week) from eating so late tonight. I don't usually eat after 7 p.m. (unless it's sunflower seeds in the shell if I get the late night munchies) so eating at 9:00p.m. was weird for me.

I went grocery shopping today, so I'm prepared for the week ahead. The weekends are hard for me, because they are not as structured as the week days. But with a fresh bag of salad, celery, green onions, peaches, and apples in the house, plus some fresh salmon (mmmmmmm) I should be okay. I'll check back in tomorrow.

I stayed on plan this weekend. Not as much water or exercise as I would've liked, but no binges. I've just resolved myself to really make this my WOL, even if it takes me 2-3 years to reach my goal weight. It would be the heck out of GAINING weight for the next few years, which is what I was doing prior to lowcarb.

I hope you all had a nice weekend. I look forward to coming to this site every day and connecting with those "of like mind". Take care.

Rob i did drop .5 lbs last week, never did post it....
I didn't do that well this weekend, went to an engagement party, drank many margaritas, ate 3 flautas, 1 tostada, 2 bagels, large piece of tress leche cake.... I guess thats it... oh had chicken fried steak on the way home with salad and fried mushrooms....

Back on track for breakfast this am....
not enough water, no exercise yesterday and today.... will get back in the water tomorrow

it is so easy to just eat - those things that are set out.... I could have passed on the flautas and tostada - there was chicken and beef fajata meat,
with guacamole, tomatoes, and fruit.... but it was there, and I ate....
now I have to work harder this week to get off what ever I gained.... i havn't
weighed

Carolyn, ya sound like me a couple of weeks ago in San Antonio! We ate (and drank) at the Riverwalk, then ended up at Dukes Original Roadhouse the next night, where we ate (and drank) some more. I came home with 5 extra pounds that I've not completely rid myself of yet!

I think we Texas girls just get caught up in the moment. (We Texans are passionate people, ya'll!!) It is so much easier for me to eat right on my own, too. When it's an occasion and there's a crowd, it's so easy to join right in.
Don't be too hard on yourself, we've all done it. Sounds like you're back on track now, so let us know how you're doing. Take care!
