Tks guys (rob and maxi) I am not taking eating off plan too bad, kind of prepared for it, but the bad part was that pool I swim and do water aerobics in was closed on thursday and friday, did 2 classes before we went on saturday, then came home too late to work out on sunday, and missed monday cause I didn't pull out the alarm... ( i think I just needed the extra sleep yesterday)
anyway, ate good yesterday, and went to aerobics this am and got a good work out and a sweat in the steam room.... ready for the next couple of weeks being home....
I know I gained, mostly water cause I didn't drink enough, I am sure by the end of the week it will be gone, and maybe a little more.... :jumpgreen

Coming round for another weekend.... What are everyones plans, are you going anywhere that you will be tempted with "off plan foods" how are you planning on dealing with these
I am going to be home, doing house stuff...and plan to eat on plan...
working on second day, no sugar...(had a bad time wednesday...lol,)
anyway, I am in for another weekend...of watching what I eat.

Well, today is Friday and this begins my third weekend cheat-free. I think that's a record for me. I haven't even had any low carb products.

I keep telling myself what Grandma used to say: "It takes 3 weeks to make or break a habit."

Well, today marks 17 days of eating clean. I'm assuming that by Tuesday, I will have the habit of cheating well under control.

I hope that Grandma was right.

I am with you April.... I did really good in july, then seemed to lose it again come august, so I am trying to eat clean again... today is day 2, looking forward to a good weekend....
I believe it is three weeks to break of make a habit...but I think with eating right, that isn't enough for me....
When I started working out at 6am at the gym I went 70 days in a row to get it into my system.... now if I don't go my body still wakes up at 5:30 am

I don't think I can make 70 days cheat free, but I can try....
and if I am good, I can maybe make it to thanksgiving....
(which is only a little under 100 days now)

Fridays are always weird days for me so far as eating goes. My schedule is different on Fridays, so I don't always eat when I should. When I finished work at my hospital account, it was time for my afternoon snack. I got on the highway, thought about eating a peach, got interested in the radio, and forgot about the peach. Either I wasn't really hungry (imagine that) or I really do have adult ADD. DH wants me to get tested, but that's for another forum.....

I didn't get really hungry until 6:30, so I got takeout for DH and I. Not the best choice, but it could have been alot worse.

So, I'm sitting here at my desk drinking my water, mentally planning my shopping list. I think I may have to visit the store or Farmer's Market twice a week. The fruit and the veggies other than salad all seem to disappear by midweek. (DD loves fruit like her Mom!) I stopped at a store this morning for water and couldn't resist those pretty peaches. I have 2 more left for tomorrow or until I make it to the store.

No big plans for the weekend. It's supposed to rain here in DFW. Carolyn, are ya'll going to get any of it? I guess I'll be on the Gazelle this weekend!

Carolyn - I'm house sitting, as you might have read in other threads, so lots of teenager food will be just sitting there tempting me.

April - I hope your Gran was right.

MAxibee - Yep. Thats one thing you need to restock 2 or 3 times a week.

So far so good for this weekend. I resisted temptation yesterday and came in at 1900 calories for the day. Carbs at 52 were about 7 higher than I would have wished. But I can live with that.

Well, so far, so good this weekend. I'll make it through today and it will be 18 days cheat-free.

Rob - those "teenager" foods sometimes just do me in, lemme tell ya'. You did very, very well yesterday with the calories and carbs. I'm impressed.

Carolyn - Hmmm. You've got my curiosity aroused. Perhaps I could make it 70 days cheat-free. Lemme see....that would be October 19th. Yes, indeedy. I think I will take that personal challenge because October 19th will be just about one week before the dreaded Halloween candy-fest here in this house. I figure if I can be 70 days cheat-free, then I can make it through Halloween this year. Thanks for the suggestion, however subliminal.

Did okay today.

B-2 eggs, 1 l/c tortilla, cheese and sausage

Snack-part of chicken breast and yogurt

Lunch-sunflower seeds (I kinda got sidetracked)

Dinner-an Atkins pizza and salad. Diet Rootbeer & Keto Vanilla Moon ice cream "float".

Not nearly enough water today. Will do better all around tomorrow.

Well I caved Saturday but not on high carb stuff - just too many carbs and calories in general. 2700 calories and 60 net carbs. But my average for 3 days was 2170 calories and 50 net carbs.

Sunday was a better day. I scrambled up some eggs with salmon mixed in it. Now, don't knock it 'til you try it. Marvelous, I tell you. And the cat wants to be my best friend now. I had 2 peaches, some of that marvelous shrimp dip (it's cream cheese based), and I just ate some shrimp for dinner, then enjoyed another Diet Rootbeer float. I had plenty of water, too.
Not my best weekend (TOM is visiting), but by far, not my worst either.

I had a hard time this weekend, tho didn't really do that bad, Super salad on saturday was good, but then I had some Icecream and choch. syrup., Sunday wasn't bad, oh yes it was.... went out to eat breakfast and had two real flour tortillas, and a little bit of refried beans, and some chips and salas....sunday night had taco salad with oonly 6 chips....... however it carried over to monday, when I walked in to the kitchen to put up my food at work, I was confronted with 5 boxes of donuts (not small boxes mind you but the ones that hold 2 dozen plus)... it was all I could do, ....I ate I don't know how many - I think it was 5....
So today I am recommitting and eating clean day by day.
Writing everything down in fit day again.... trying to go to gym at least 6 days a week....
Not going to eat any lc bread or tortillas for about 2 weeks. Keeping my counts to between 40 and 45 per day.... Salad with lunch and dinner, ....
Gonna try for 10 days eating clean to start with, then go from there.
April, gonna hope to get three weeks in clean... then maybe go to the 70....
anyway, It will be ok.... this was one of those I can't stop eating what I am not susposed to weekends.... no more.

Yesterday made 21 days -- 3 weeks -- of eating clean. I just may make this 70-day challenge.

So glad to hear you are still eating clean....
I will be joining you in this experiment to eat clean again.
I just walked into the kitchen to get another cup of coffee, and lo and behold, there were left overs from a meeting - bagels, cream cheese, etc.... I walked out without anything but my coffee.... yeah....
not gonna give in.

I usually only check in here from Friday thru Sunday, but I got an update, so I decided to check in, too. I've had a good week, but have a MONSTROUS weekend ahead of me!
Saturday is DD's 7th Birthday party at McDonald's. That's fine. I'll have a salad and Diet Coke, no problem. Being around the cake will be unavoidable, but I won't have any. Sunday we may have some family over, so there's plenty of detailed housework in my immediate future. Monday we are going to Six Flags Over Texas, which is about 20 minutes from our house. We will probably eat out beforehand, because the food inside is yucky and expensive and I would guess not lowcarb!

I am going to try to bring a couple of Genisoy bars with me for snacking. We can buy water in the park. (Genisoy bars are the only ones that don't give me tummy issues.) I'll pop a Dramamine and keep some Extra S/F Spearmint gum in my fanny pack....and I guess that's it.

I just hope I can keep focused amid all the hubbub. I DO NOT want to weigh in next Tuesday with a weight gain! Walking around 6 Flags should be great exercise. I may not be able to check in as much as I normally do, but I will try to keep in touch. Send some positive vibes my way!
