here comes the weekend.
We are staying home, and I am taking next week off from work(have to use it or lose it by end of the month).
I have had two decent days, yesterday a little higher carb count, but I wrote everything down instead of looking the other way.
Today should be a little better with carb counts...
I plan to hit the gym on sat and sunday and maybe monday.
(and of course once my pool at the gym is open will be there every day next week)
Anyone here keeping track of their weekends....
Seems like the hardest time of the week.... during the week I usually do great....bringing lunch and breakfast with me to work, and eating protien and veggies for dinner....
So off we go to another weekend.... looking forward to having a couple of weeks of eating clean behind me.
how are you doing april?

I start my "official" weekend at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. I went by and picked up takeout for dinner. I went to Long John Silvers and got a nice shrimp and seafood salad for myself, and a platter for DH. I ate about 2/3 of the salad, then had a l/c ice cream bar. I guess I'll be eating "takeout" salad again tomorrow at McDonald's.

I've eaten only on-plan foods this weekend, but sporadically. I've not done well on water consumption, exercise, or supplements. I've had people in & out of here since it's the holiday and DD's birthday. I'm ready to get back to the normalcy the workweek brings!

Did well 2 out of 3 days but that third day was a killer. It brought my average calories to 2400 but my carbs were so-so okay at 40 average. Won;t say I flunked just will say I'll do better next weekend.

I did better today, but still not consistent w/water and spacing out my eating. (Grazing). Oh, well. There's always next weekend. At least we're trying and more aware since we are on this challenge. Have a good week, everyone.

Is anyone else still on this challenge? I almost forgot to post here!
Saturday, I had some leftover broccoli/chicken Alfredo casserole, some seedless watermelon, boiled shrimp, salad, apple/walnut crisp, hamburger patties w/cheese, jalapenos, and sour cream, some more salad, a few ounces of soymilk, and a zero carb ice cream bar. I drank iced tea all day, so not enough water for Saturday. I'll post later for today.

Sunday was a bust: too many l/c food. I would eat, then go for hours and not eat, then get hungry and eat too much, and last night, too late. The scale let me know it, too. I've really gotta get a handle on this weekend schedule.

I forgot to post for this past weekend. 2250 calories and 48 net carbs average.
Not as bad as it used to be. Carbs are just fine and if I could average about 200 less calories I'd be right where I want to be.

I was on vacation last week, and while I got in my exercise, and watched most of my food, I am still having to be extra careful on the weekends.
This weekend is the Austin City Limits Music Festival, three days of music, music and more music.... We are planning on going (I am taking off work friday and monday - to recup).. and I know there is going to be food there, I will really have to watch ---you can't bring in food, maybe we can keep some in the car and go back and forth to the car ....
anyway, I am still at signature weight... no loses, but that's ok....
I wish there weren't weekends....we usually have a party or two a month to go to, of course I try to bring something I can eat, but those other temptation foods are getting harder and harder to resist.
But I am going to try, I want to drop another 20 before thanksgiving and I know i can;t do it without resisting those foods I know aren't good for me.
hope everyone has a good weekend.

I am really going to try to make this weekend cheat free. In fact I want to lower my calorie goal to 1800 from 2000 for the next 3 days, if I can. I've been aiming for 2000, and hitting 2200 on average.

Carolyn - slip a bag or 2 of sunflower seeds in your purse for a quick but sneaky snack.

Me too, Rob. I find that since the weekends are so unscheduled, I don't do as well as the strictly regimented weekdays! I just got back from Krogering a little while ago, and I loaded up: broccoli, green onions, white onions, pears, peaches, and salad.

I just noticed my favorite dip has some sugar in it, not much, but still....I bought some all natural sour cream at the store and plan to make some kind of dip with it that's as carbless as possible. (I do better eating the veggies w/some dip.) I love the shrimp dip I've been making, but it's kinda labor intensive.

Anyway, I'm gonna keep my food journal beside me this weekend and REALLY TRY to stay on track. I've not even lost the pound I'm up from last weekend. Bummer. I'll check back in tomorrow.

I stayed on plan all weekend, exercised, rested, and cooked! I've got plenty of good stuff to load into my cooler for work. I got back to my sig. weight, so I'm happy. Looking for a new, lower number now. I went to bed earlier than normal Friday night, and later on Saturday night, and I tried not to sleep too late so I wouldn't be so "off" with my eating schedule.
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I wrote about mine in great detail in the Everything Else forum. Have a great week!

Once again I did well 2 days out of three. calories were 1900, 3100 and 1800.
carbs were 36, 72 and 40. I was down 2 pounds this morning so maybe I'm not too far off from where I need to be?

Tks for the suggestion about the sunflower seeds, didn't need them...
Ate good salad friday before we went (kind of my own chef salad), brought four quarts for me and dh to drink, ate 1/2 bratwerst sandwich with grilled onions and sauerkraut on it, and 1/2 of grilled chicken wrap....
sat did salad again with fajata meat on it.... ate a philly cheese steak on
sat night....
sunday ate breakfast, went to show, didn't eat any dinner there as we left after elvis costello to eat out...
so I didn't do too bad... walked lots, did two hours water aerobics friday, and saturday....
It was hot, we drank lots of h2o, and came away from the weekend feeling music recharged, food charged, and work out charged.
Am back to writing everything down, getting maybe alittle more exercise.
but all in all I was happy with how the weekend went.
c :great:

Hi! It's mid-morning on Saturday and we are headed for Six Flags (over Texas). We live about 15 minutes away and hardly ever go! My sister's birthday is today and we didn't get to take DD for hers since it rained. So, I decided to take both of them today. We had a big breakfast and will have something else light before we go. I don't want to get hungry in there and have to pay huge prices for their crappy food.

I went to the store last night and stocked up on produce, so I'm ready for the weekend. I think I'll take Rob's advice and restock my fruits and veggies mid-week. We always seem to be out of the fresh stuff by Wednesday.

I've really gotten hooked on the Gazelle. I have 5 pound weights for each ankle, too. I put on a really interesting show and soon I forget I'm working out. If I get too winded/hot, I sometimes take a break during a commercial. I'm hoping since I'm losing slow that the Gazelle will help keep me toned up. My fear about getting to my goal weight, 60 pounds away, is that I may have saggy skin.

Anyway, have a nice weekend and I'll check back in later!
