| Hello all, I am a 34yo Diabetic dx'd 15 years ago. I am using the Animas IR1250 insulin pump at the moment. Looking for some better ways to eat as I have fallen off that wagon many times. Thanks for letting me join

| Welcome, Jim. You'll find lots of good general information about foods, recipes and carb impact here. What you won't find is specific information on regulating your insulin. I always recommend that diabetics also check out Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution. The book, and good information geared specifically to the diabetic, are available on his site. http://www.diabetes-book.com/ I was labled a "borderline-diabetic" (T2) back in '98. My labs, if they'd been taken today, would probably have earned me a diabetic dx. I've had excellent control with consistent attention to my eating and some (inconsistent) exercise. Hope you'll make yourself at home.
