| It's good to hear that you haven't given up, that you are finding some success controlling your blood sugar. You should never be meat or fat phobic, both are intensely good for you. You may be one of those people who has to keep their carb levels extremely low or non-existent to keep your bs under control. Many people are choosing to do vlc or zero carb, just to control their insulin & blood sugars. Some people think it sounds extreme, but after reading their experiences (on another forum), it seems that they are seeing some good health results from cutting out most carbs. The Atkins diabetes book is a good one. I have it, too. Even though I'm not diabetic, the advice for diabetics is still good for people doing low carb.
