Ok, now that I have your attention ...

This Friday, on 20/20, John will discuss nutrition labeling. From his newsletter:

Quote:
This Friday my "Give Me a Break" spotlights food labels that may mislead you. Many food companies are calculating carbs, calories and salt not according to what's in the package, but what's in a "serving size." Trouble is, sometimes the serving sizes are ridiculously small (for pickles, one "serving" turned out to be 3/4ths of one fourth of a pickle). We have some other funny examples.
The 20/20 web site is here:

http://abcnews.go.com/Sections/2020/...tml?cmp=EM1388

So it's not totally low carb oriented, but who amongst us has not run into this labeling lunacy.

I always try to figure out how much is considered a serving and eat only that--but yeah--3/4 of a spear of a dill pickle spear is an actual serving--I did figure that out! STUPIDITY--I will have to find out what station is running it here and watch that!
