What's in that stuff? I always looked at it as "fake" cheese.

That is interesting! I almost picked some up last night! I LOVE Laughing Cow cheese, but since I never read the SBD book, I didn't know it was mentioned in there!

Well, if anyone needs it, come to Bethlehem, PA! We had plenty of here in the Giant last night!

I've never seen a shortage at my grocer. My kids enjoy it, but it is spendy and I only use it as a "treat" food.

If you go here and click on the bottom right of the page for nutritional info, you'll see it all.

There's really nothing BAD in them - I enjoyed them a lot in the Light version when I did Weight Watchers.

Now I will occasionally buy the regular wedges, but I like the round BabyBels even better! They're easy to toss into my lunch since they're wax-encased AND overwrapped in a single-serving size. To me they taste better than the cheese sticks.

MMmmmmm, Babybels! I love those things! Never did like the little string cheese thingys, didn't taste like real mozzarella to me.
When I go to work, I may have at any given time babybels, tuna in a pouch, a foil can of EAS lc chocolate shake, and the odd bran muffin in my pocketbook. LOL!! I'm surrounded by pastries, and they help fight the urges.

I like those too Trina! Don't they open so nifty too? So easily portable, I agree.

I am new to this site. I am a follower of the South Beach Diet, and I have discovered that if you read the book first, it works! I have lost 40lbs in 8.5 weeks, without being hungry, or "food desperate"! I go to the gym 5 to 6 days every week, and I am discovering new ways to eat low carb all te time. It really is nothing more than a lifestyle change! I still have a cocktail occasionally, I still have wine with dinner a couple of times a week. My food-life is as good as it was when I was trying to eat myself into the hospital, it's just different. I like myself again, and I feel good again. I walk stairs without leg or back pain, and playing my drums is getting easier now that my gut isn't in the way. THE LOW CARB LIFE IS GOOD...AND IT WORKS!!!!!

Congratulations, John! and welcome.

I do have to mention, though, that you're averaging nearly 5 lbs per week weight loss. That is fairly stressful to the body as a whole. It also doesn't give your skin much chance to "shrink" along with you. The optimum rate of weight loss is suggested to be not more than an average of 2lbs per week.

I just offer this information for your consideration. Your choices, of course, are your own to make.
