| I don't know about you but I haven't missed potatoes all that much in 19 months of low carbing. In fact it never occurred to me to cheat with potatoes, I'd much rather cheat with a loaf of panera bread. But here's this newly developed potato that we've talked about before but it's only a few short months away from being in your produce section. http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/Con...l=991929131147 Last edited by Rob; 09-30-2004 at 12:00 PM. |

| Sounds interesting. We'll see if it takes hold. I wonder if it will have the same nutrients. I don't think I would eat it but who knows it may be the latest thing.

| I'm with you, Rob. I used to eat potatoes a lot and thought they would be the hardest thing to do without when I started eating LC. As it turns out, I reallly don't miss them. But bread? Every day, sigh.... Aderyn |

| "The waning of the Atkins craze and Canada's coming restrictions on low-carb labelling needn't be a problem for the Sunlite. Northcott says it was developed for taste, texture and good looks. The fact that it has a lower carbohydrate content is a "fluke," he says. " heh, waning? methinks not. I do not miss potatoes, and I think 13 grams for a spud is still too much. I'd rather "spend" my carbs elsewhere! |

| Something to watch for... Interesting. Potatoes are something I miss, so an occasional 13 carb treat might be okay with me....

| I don't particularly miss potatoes either. In fact after being so long without them, I tried a baked one and it just tasted like pure dirt to me. To think I use to eat them all the time, yuck. |
