This is an abstract of a study on how cherries may help to control blood glucose. I always wondered why something as sweet as cherries could have such a low glycemic index value (something like 20 on a scale of 1 to 100, if I recall correctly).

Way Of Living Forever
That's why I only get them in season and buy them 10 at a time (they're about 1 gm carb each) instead of by the pound. LOL, I know from experience that I have a hard time not eating all that I've brought home.
