| "When Atkins Nutritionals filed for Chapter 11, it was a justification of my entire world view. " interesting reading, this. Think about it. This is what it has almost ALWAYS been about, between the naysayers and low carb. Low-carb was a THREAT to "their entire world view." Needless to say, in the clinical setting, the idea that a diet high in fat would be detrimental to heart health has not been shown to be true. But science doesn't matter, when it threatens your "entire world view." Fascinating! http://www.time.com/time/magazine/ar...090919,00.html |

| There is another lowcarb forum on this big 'net that would call this dude a TROLL. Edited to include:this guy obviously has a personal vendetta against lowcarbing....he states "Thus my thrill over the downfall of Atkins isn't so simple as being able to eat whatever I want, which, if it's not clear, is bread." So.....he allows various diet plans, whether he subscribes to them or not, dictate what he "can" or "cannot" eat? How utterly ridiculous. If Weight Watcher's filed for Chapter 11, I wouldn't be delighted in the relief that I no longer have to give my food a points value. The diet exists and I just don't happen to be a subscriber. It's that simple. Haters usually have some deep emotional problem related to the person, place, idea, or thing that they hate. Just read some of my posts about gastric bypass and how my sister's WLS and subsequent bad attitude has turned me against the idea completely. I suggest this guy has a deep emotional reason related to his childhood or something else that is linked to the idea of his not being "allowed" to have bread. Maybe his mommy punished him by not letting him have any toast with his cereal....because we all know, he wouldn't have been eating an artery clogging egg. Whatever.

| "Although that's a small price to pay for making me feel superior. Therein lies the key. I bet if he needed WW to lose the 25 pounds that impressed his wife, he'd hate them too. |
