| Some interesting info from kidney specialists on drinking water: Evidence wishy-washy for health benefits of water - Yahoo! News It's not saying that drinking water is unhealthy, (of course not, we NEED water!) but some of what we believe about drinking water could be just a myth. I found it to be interesting, anyway. I've always felt a little guilty when I opted to drink tea or coffee instead of water, but now, after reading this, I'm not so sure it's such a bad thing. |

| it was defintiely interesting, but i'm not hip with some of their conclusions. and the last example of the contest lady...well, drinking LOTS of water in a very short period of time is dangerous. and how many of us are long distance runners who must deal with electrolyte balances and the like? i personally can tell the difference when i get enough water. i don't think it fills me up like food, but i know if i'm having trouble losing weight, upping the water often helps. and my skin is softer. some of it could be other things, like vitamins and nutrition, of course. but based on my experience, that water does a lot of good for me. i do like to read about the current thinking, but i'm not convinced....they will have to pry my waterjug out of my hands, man! ![]() thanks for sharing the "water for thought" nita....lol |
