| I saw this on the Yahoo health news. In a nutshell, high blood sugar levels, even without diabetes, can cause premature death. Another reason to control blood sugar with a low carb way of eating. Blood sugar level important in diabetes-free people - Yahoo! News

| This is very interesting, Nita. My own suspicion is that it is the high insulin levels that will inevitably accompany high blood sugar that are the real culprit. Recent tests in type 2 diabetics that carefully control BGL's (with INSULIN!) surprised the investigators when the side effects of t2d did not improve but got worse. My reaction was "duh", but they were surprised.
